Do not book this hotel! In general, this hotel purely just lack any sense of hospitality. We talked to many other guests in the hotel and they all felt the same. We were also over charged by the hotel with something very simple. Three times more expensive than any other restaurants nearby. Drinks are far more expensive than anywhere else... More

Stayed 2 nights at Ethno House and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The dinner meals were very tasty and the entire atmosphere was very relaxing. The room was very comfortable and had the feel of an Austrian apartment. I thought the price was very fair and it was just a short ways from Plitvice National... More

We stayed one night at the Plitvice Ethno House. It’s located about 2 or 3 km from the Plitvice Lakes Entrance #2 (we drove and parked in that lot). We had a great room with a window overlooking the outdoor pool. Comfortable double bed. Excellent shower and bathroom On site parking. Good wifi. Very good breakfast included with the room... More

The place is near the entrance no. 2 to the National Park, so very convenient. You need a car to move around the region. The place is clean, comfortable, all in all very pleasent. The staff are polite, helpful and speak foreign languages. The room was clean, tidy, shower was ok, beds are comfortable, pillows a bit huge for my... More

Ethno House is a great location for visiting the lakes which are within walking distance (through gate 3). We found Ethno House relatively straightforward to find on sat nav. The room we stayed in was warm and comfortable - wooden decor (like a ski chalet). We had a great bathroom with shower and spa bath. There's a good selection at... More

The location is fantastic for the lakes, but you already know that so I'm not including that in my review. Secondly the service and staff were very good, very helpful. Bad points. Price. £100/night is ok for UK but very expensive for Croatia, but hey it's by the lakes so we booked and wrongly assumed this included breakfast....it didn't. Breakfast... More

Stayed with my wife and two young children in September. Very little quality accommodation around Plitvice NP, so happening upon Ethno House was a very pleasant surprise. Simple but very clean rooms. We had a family room with four beds in the newest building. Nice playground for children and even a small swimming pool (although closed when we were there).... More

As soon as we arrived from walking the magnificent Plitvice Lakes National Park we were greeted with huge generous smiles and warm welcomes from the entire family that run this special place, Dad the handyman, Mum the cook and Daughter the hotel manager, even the son in law gets his hands dirty being the barman and drinks waiter, my wife... The concept of Ethno House is very good, and the family is wonderful. So close (20 minutes walk) to the National Park, however they would drive you to and from the entrance if you preferred. I was there in October, so didn't have the chance to use the pool, but it looked great. Any advice I needed beforehand was answered... More

Set right within the National Park this hotel's best feature is the location. Within a few minutes walk of breathtaking views of the lakes and the top of the huge waterfall. You can hear the water on a quiet evening. The family that owned the hotel were great and very welcoming, breakfasts were great and they provided plenty of information... More
