We arrived on a lovely evening, to be told that are pre booked paid for room was unavailable, after quite a lot of discussion we finally managed to get the room we paid for. The rooms our in average condition, a little tired in places and old furniture etc. Although in a very pretty location in ease of the local... More

We chose to stay at Villa Castello as it was out of town, & we wanted the peaceful surrounds of the water, as opposed to the busyness of town . It is located on a hillside at Zronvska Banja , just 4 Km outside the town of Korkula. The water views are off to the right, & a little distant,... More

Although this place is a fair distance from Korcula town, it was well worth the £10 taxi ride. We did however end up walking into town one day, which took around 45 minutes. The hotel is set in a quiet village with a shop next door and beaches either side, offering lovely scenery. The pool was quite small but since... More

The villa was on a nice location, just a 10 minute drive from the oldtown. You had to climb a lot of stairs to the appartmen. The villa had more appartments then expected (around 15). The bed was very hard, you could feel the spirals, the airco was leeking water and the showerhead was broken. The pool was small but... More

I want to be clear- I gave this 3 stars (average) in the very true sense of the rating- it certainly isn't luxury, but it was actually a great find, and we were really happy we stayed there. The family that run it were extremely friendly and accommodating- we felt relaxed immediately. The rooms were simply furnished, but clean and... More

After spending six weeks in Croatia we found the people and places fantastic apar from VILLA COSTELLO. We paid 70 euro for a room that you wouldn't put pigs in, we got RIPPED OFF we were promised an apartment and instead got something more like a shed, the shower was constantly flooding, you could not sit on the toilet and... We read a particularly negative review after we had booked. We came here for a friends wedding and the wedding party and friends stayed at Villa Castello. It has worked out really well. The wedding ceremony was held here and the food, drinks and service were fantastic. Lovely view from our apartment. Apartment is basic but functional. Good swimming in... More

The location of this hotel seriously lets it down, unless you're happy to drive on small, badly maintained and precarious mountain roads. There is one supermarket nearby but apart from the hotel restaurant, only one other restaurant nearby on a campsite, which isn't open - which means either using an infrequent and erratic bus service into Korcula Town for meals... We really loved this place, the previous reviews are quite right that it is indeed a way away from the town (40 min walk) and taxis aren't cheap but the appartments are lovely and the views for the room absolutely amazing. The pools are small but we had them pretty much all to ourselves (and we went in high seson.)... More
