the staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful, yes the hotel is older but that adds to its charm and lets all remember its not that long ago Karlovac was under war conditions, definitely will go back again soon.

There aren't a lot of options in Karlovac, and I don't know that there need to be, since it's not much of a tourist town. But the Carlstadt has a good location, not far from the bus station, near old town and generally in the middle of any action that might be happening.

The hotel Carlstadt has a good central location in the Karlovac city center, and the prices are very reasonable. Entrance, corridors and breakfast room are quite small but the rooms are comfortable, although they are not really luxorious. The staff is helpful and speaks english (someone also italian). The breakfast is very simple but good enough for the price.
