My wife and I have just returned from 2 weeks at the Hotel Albatros. Where to start? Good points: Hotel is in a lovely location, spotlessly clean, large nice rooms with fridge and air conditioning, friendly and helpfull staff and the food was good for buffet style. Bad points: It was full of the most ignorant bad mannered people I... more

Hotel was fine. Yes the Irish entertainment? was rubbish but there are 3 bars within 50 yards to escape to and cavtat only 15 minute walk. rooms spotless. food plentiful and varied. yes buffet style but this is a holiday hotel not the ritz..the staff were pleasant and helpful. only real complaint and I have seen this comment before was... more

What an awful holiday experience ,courtesy of Balkan Holidays...Cavtat is indeed a lovely village - very scenic with lovely rocky coves and a spectacular mountain backdrop - Our Croatian holiday experience was ruined by the 500+ Irish holidaymakers who were on a "Paul Claffey Tour".They were promised sun ,fun and music... and they certainly got it.The music was unbearable, beginning at... more

My husband and I have just returned from a week at the Albatros. The hotel itself is in a quiet location about 15 minutes stroll into Cavtat. The road isn't very busy but there is no footpath and you have to be aware of approaching traffic. Cavtat is very picturesque and there are a number of bars where you can... more

We wanted to find out about Croatia - the price we got on the hotel was great value - so good that we figured that even if the food was rubbish, we'd eat in one evening, and be quids-in. What was good The room was spotlessly clean (other guests didn't have the same experience, mind you), a good size, and... more

I think that the Albatros is a brilliant hotel. The two rooms we had booked were both very spacious with a safety deposit box and fridge we could use free of charge. The food was fantastic with a wide range of things to choose from and the waiters in the restaurant were very polite and friendly. One of my favourite... more

My wife and I (two of a party of ten) have recently returned from a fortnight's holiday at the Albatros and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The accommodation was good and the restaurant food and service was excellent. We enjoyed the sunsets over Cavtat from our balcony in the eventings. The location is excellent - just a pleasant walk from Cavtat... more

The Albatros hotel is situated somewhere between heaven and hell. It’s only a 10-minute walk to the quiet and picturesque small town of Cavtat. It is also less than 3km from the end of the Dubrovnik airport runway, in a nearly direct line. On the day I counted, there were 19 flights overhead, 4 of which took off before 7am.... more

We have just returned from 10 days at Hotel Albatros in Croatia and were pleasantly surprised. The British were in the minority and at the time we went there was a real mix of nationalities. The staff were all helpful and friendly. It's not a recently built hotel, yet the pool was clean and large with people from the Epidaurus... more

A very short transfer from the airport. Rooms very clean with maid service daily to change towels etc - plenty of water. We paid for a sea view which was well worth the money. Breakfast was varied and plentiful on a self service basis - our 3 children ate plenty - the only wait was for the fried eggs, omlettes and... more
