We stayed at the Wangfu Hotel in Lijiang for 3 nights during a recent trip to China and would definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for a comfortable hotel in Lijiang's old town. The hotel is close to many restaurants which is great. Our room was at the back of the hotel and was therefore quiet - rooms at... More

If you expect a normal business hotel this will not meet your expectations. However, if you would like to experience a lovely Chinese hotel this is perfect. Small court yards, traditional interior and design. Ginger tea, coffe and cookies served for free. Location is also in the quiet part of the old town (important if loud bar music is not... More

The toilet in our bathroom has a really weird smell. The hotel is rather old and the floor of our room is shaky. Judging from the hotel's star level, the experience is unsatisfying. By the way, the breakfast is bad, too.

This Hotel was not great...but good. Best was its location within a few minutes on foot from the South Gate. Since cars are not permitted in the Old Town this can be important. This part of town also seemed more quiet with less tourists compared to more famous entrance near the water wheel. My room was a bit outdated with... More

this was not our part of our scheduled trip, but because of a horrible road accident that closed access to our original hotel, we had to stay here for one night. it was freezing and there was no heat. after asking them about the broken heat, they gave us a few extra blankets. the shower overflowed to the bedroom. i... Good location in old town Lijiang, surrounded by restaurants and artisan shops. Good: they have central heat (some) and free WiFi. They have a night club if you're into that, with live entertainment (loud, but not a problem in our room towards the back). Not so hot: almost zero English spoken. Rooms a little small, few amenities. Like everything in... More

In the heart of Old Lijiang, very roomy and clean. Breakfast is a bit limited especially if you are not in for the traditional chinese breakfast dishes. Staff hardly speak any English. Internet in rooms not so reliable.

This hotel is located in the the center of the old town of Lijiang - no access by car/bus/coach. However electric vehicle available for passenger and luggage. Poor English speaking staff capabilities - as in most Chinese upcountry hotels Limited selection for breakfast as usual in Chinese upcountry hotels - we missed selection of fruits most :-( very good bathroom... We spent 3 wonderful nights in this hotel and have to say how very satisfied with the room and the hotel in general. We did realize that the disco at the front of the courtyard hotel would be noisy at night so we chose a room in the far back. which was more than we expected in amenities and style.... More
