Good location in old town Lijiang, surrounded by restaurants and artisan shops. Good: they have central heat (some) and free WiFi. They have a night club if you're into that, with live entertainment (loud, but not a problem in our room towards the back). Not so hot: almost zero English spoken. Rooms a little small, few amenities. Like everything in... More

In the heart of Old Lijiang, very roomy and clean. Breakfast is a bit limited especially if you are not in for the traditional chinese breakfast dishes. Staff hardly speak any English. Internet in rooms not so reliable.

This hotel is located in the the center of the old town of Lijiang - no access by car/bus/coach. However electric vehicle available for passenger and luggage. Poor English speaking staff capabilities - as in most Chinese upcountry hotels Limited selection for breakfast as usual in Chinese upcountry hotels - we missed selection of fruits most :-( very good bathroom... We spent 3 wonderful nights in this hotel and have to say how very satisfied with the room and the hotel in general. We did realize that the disco at the front of the courtyard hotel would be noisy at night so we chose a room in the far back. which was more than we expected in amenities and style.... More

Carpet you wouldn't walk on barefoot. No Internet. Door hung so you can see light around the edges. Sketchy rigged electric extension. Noise from hall. Mosquitoes in the room and window that leaves gaps when closed (but beautiful window) no safe in room, some lovely staff who are Naxi people, some unfriendly ones who are not, located near ancient city.... This is a more traditional Chinese Hotel located in the “Old Town” part of Lijiang. If you want to experience living in the Chinese environment you have to stay here. The hotel is more than adequate though the rooms are a bit dated. The hotel Courtyards are a wonderful area to relax and coffee/tea is provided after 11.00 AM. Many... More

I haven´t see the other ones, so I´ll have to take the word of those who have. The rooms are spacious but not very practical - no wardrobes, no comfortable chair, no reading light. The king size bed was a combination of 2 beds with a small step in between due to the different heights, so it really ends up... More

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. It is very central in the old town and relatively quiet if away from the club part. Our room was spacious and clean and set in a courtyard which was very attractive indeed. The laundry service was cheap and efficient. However, very few of the staff spoke any English at all and the... More

It was great to stay in this hotel which is right in the middle of the Old Town. Unfortunately, when we were there, there was extensive building work going on which spoiled the look of the lovely building and it's frontage. Also, there was some sort of karaoke going on amongst the unfinished restaurant (health and safety in the UK... More
