We went to Lijiang for a short weekend getaway to celebrate my sister's birthday and the Bivou was the main reason why we enjoyed our trip soooooo much! Found at the fringe of a small town called Shuhe, this is definitely the best place to stay. Firstly, Shuhe is on the Unesco World Heritage List and is well preserved, and... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in the farmyard room. The hotel has a nice situation surrounded on one side by a vegetable garden. Shuehe Ancient Town is definitely more appealing than Lijiang, which is overrun by tourists and tourist shops. The staff are all very welcoming, especially MiaoMiao and Joseph. Be sure to eat the Bai family dinner prepared... More

We came to Lijiang in the rainy season which wasn't ideal but the stay at the Bivou made up for that. The whole staff are incredibly welcoming - there is nothing they would not do for you. the rooms are tastefully refurbished and spotlessly clean, the food for breakfast is delicious and all home made and the help given to... Service is better than any 5 star hotel groups. The staffs were very hospitable and approachable. Food was very good and may be one of the best western food you can find in Lijiang, if not used to the Chinese food there. Rooms are clean and well kept. Design of the house is beautiful and homely, accompanied by soothing jazz... More

There are many hidden streets, interesting shops, kind and sincere people in ShuHe. It cost a little more to stay here but worth every penny. I liked Bivou, safely and quietly tucked in one of the streets. They kindly came out to the main road to pick us up. I wowed at the design of the room, modern security system,... More

Its a pretty good boutique hotel located a few mins away from Shuhe downtown. Hotel staff certainly goes out of their ways to make you feel welcome and the service level is on par with 4-5 star hotels. Room is small yet well designed with all the modern amenities you need. only thing that bugs me is the rooms seem... More

I like the quiet location in shuhe town. Not really have any negative feedback on the hotel. "Breakfast of the morning" is Good, it is fresh cooked when you arrived. But the common varieties still have room for improvement. Mainly breads, home made jams , porridge, fruits... i dont see any noodles or buns ?!!? I guess the western style... More

Our family of eight stayed at the Bivou. Our group included 2 grandmothers in their 70s and children as well. All of us loved the luxurious villa with its spacious rooms and modern yet cozy designs. What made our trip truly enjoyable were the friendly staff such as Jared, Hweeling,Mao Mao , joe, Joseph and ah Yi. I really enjoyed... More

Just returned with our family of three children from 5 days, 4 nights at The Bivou. The rooms are clean and thoughtfully organised, designed with the right mix of old world charm and modern luxury. The service was exceptional.nReady smiles greet you the moment you arrive, through the time that you leave. Little touches such as the afternoon tea appreciation, and... More
