very friendly and helpful staff, he gave me some useful advice about going to Shaxi. A good place to meet fellow travelers, ideal for backpackers, but don't expect too high for room standard for the price given.

From the moment we entered the hostel one guy who was working there was really unfriendly with us. It his unfriendly attitute continued throughout the evening and ruined our experience in this hostel. Rooms are average. However, one woman (who I believe was the owner), was very nice and helpful when we left.

We kept wondering if we had wandered into the wrong place ! After reading other reviews about this place we were most disappointed. The only thing we agree with is the location- yes it is very convenient and outside the main noisy area. However, our rooms felt very damp and had a musty smell to them , as well as... More

Close to the action but far enough way to find some quiet and see the moon from the deck! One night on 2nd floor dorm at the back, very quiet. One night in a room at front, street side, very noisy... Easy to use as a base and find your way home!

This guest house is located inside the old town nearer to edge but still is a good location. The room was large and clean but could have been cleaner. The bathroom is a bit narrow and but large enough not to be a problem but did have some mold (they need to buy a new shower curtain). Since its in... More

I stayed at the Garden Inn when I visited Lijiang. It was clean and the staff were very helpful. Best of all, I got bored of Lijiang after a day and the team helped me find alternative places to go and refunded the extra day I booked. Can't thank them enough for making my Yunnan experience better than expected!

First of all i have to honour the crew of the hostel cause they organized a trip to the tiger leaping gorge for us even if we didnt stay there (cause they were booked out). They also booked the half way hostel for us and later on our trip (when we stayed there) bus tickets back to Kunming and so... More

I love this hostel! So much so that I changed my plans for my month trip around China when out there so I could spend another day or two here. Garden Inn is perfect location wise, it’s about a 5 minute walk away from the Old Town Centre, but this walk is lined with picturesque streams, old houses, lanterns and... More
