It was a pleasant stay in the inn with very personal touch from the host! We were well taken care off by the couple until we felt abit overwhelming! Room is very cozy and comfortable despite the cold weather we had very good quality sleep as itwas quite queit.

We loved our stay at the Sleepy Inn! The owner treated us like family. Breakfast was made at whatever time we wanted and it was delicious! The owner is so very sweet and always willing to help. The room was clean, water was hot, WiFi was fast, and the fellowship was wonderful! No AC in the room (we were there... More

We just stayed at the sleepy inn and I was compelled to sign up to trip advisor and post a review. The owner is so lovely. The guest house is nice, it is a bit difficult to find, on the western bank of the qinglong river south of the xiaoping bridge. The pool was out of action while we were... More

The hotel is designed like most in Shuhe, with a courtyard and rooms on the first and second floor. It has a certain charm with the carved wood, grey tiles and other very nice details. But this one is very well located, next to a water stream, facing south, between the dynamic center and the hills where you can wander... More

The beauty of this Inn and it's owners is matched by the same beauty of this wonderful ancient town! Without telling me she was going to do this the owner met me at the bus station when I first arrived and arranged (and paid for) a taxi to take us from Lijiang to Shuhe. We then walked to the Inn... A great guest house, beautifully appointed rooms away from the noisy night life. The owner looked after us very well. She speaks enough English to be able to help with most requests and the rest we managed with sign language Would definitely recommend.

The owner accompanied the taxi driver personally to meet us at the airport and escort us to Sleepy Inn. Our room overlooked the little courtyard, decorated with plants and a small fish pond. Beyond the garden wall we heard the soothing sound of the little stream running adjacent to the cobbled road in front of the guest house. The bed... More

Stayed there nearly a week during Christmas break. The place was a bit cold, but the warm welcome from the owner makes us forget the weather. You become part of the family during your stay. Location is nice, because not too far from the small tourist area in Shuhe, but far enough to avoid the noisy surrounding. Owner was very... More

Staying at Sleepy Inn 3 nights, we had a lovely stay here. We shared a great time together with my family and Li, the new owner. Li is always checking if you feel comfortable at her place. The beds are the best that we had in China so far. The reading place is always open, with free different teas that... More

Like all of us, you probably go to Lijiang looking for a taste of ancient China, only to find an bustling old town full of Chinese tourists: shopping, eating, partying. If you go to the other side of the new town of Lijiang how ever, you will find an old village called Shuhe. This is a well-preserved small town along... More
