We stayed in 6 hotels on our trip to China and this was easily our least favourite. To be fair its away from the more developed big cities, and I expect in a few years hotels in this area well improve their facilities and ability to cater for european / western tastes. It is clean enough and the staff do... More

Rooms were clean, there is free wifi. What more can you ask for? The main point of the trip is the Jiuzhaiguo lakes and mountains. Breakfast area is limited. You need to come down early to beat the tour groups rush. The massage in the hotel was so-so, don't take it.

the good: a very well located 4 star hotel, walking distance to the park entrance, about 20 min walk. right next to Sheraton. the staff are very polite and friendly, very professional. if i have to be very picky to say one thing that i did not like about the hotel, was their free breakfast, it does not have too... Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights which was booked through an agent. Hotel is about 1.5km from the entrance to the Juzhai Valley and 84 km from the Jiuhuang Airport. Hotel is with all the modern facilities. Have electricity saving sensors in corridors of every floor – as you step out of the lift the lights comes on and... More

Stayed 2 nights during a visit to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong. Arrangement was via a travel agency. Common areas look reasonably good although temperature hardly ever exceeds 12degC. First night was in a single room, in building 3, and in the second I was 'upgraded' to a twin in building 2. Common features: cleanliness standards bad (sheets and linen are fresh,... More

Arrived on the 13th in total darkness. The power was out on one side of the street. The entrance hall stank of urine from the toilets (seems standard in china as most people prefer to urinate on the floor). Room was sparse but toilet had NOT been cleaned. There were stains from the previous guests bowel movements. No toilet paper.... More

This was once an impressive luxury Hotel that has faded with neglect. Our room had very dirty carpets and an unfinished repair on one wall, caused by a water leak from a poorly fitted bath. The king size bed was comfortable but there is no WiFi or wired Internet. The Hotel mainly caters for the Chinese Tourist market which will... More

We arrived at Jiuzhaigou after dark, following a terrifying 11-hours bus ride from Chengdu, right into a thunderstorm, with no accommodation booked (this was too spontaneous). After we couldn't catch a taxi for a very long time, we entered the hotel and asked them how we can get to the youth hostels area. Instead of answering the question, the receptionist... More

In July my partner and I stayed two nights at this hotel. On arrival we were given a note with the following information Hot water 1830-2400 0630-0900 no air condition. Our tour guide suggested that the temperature in Jiuzhaigou is not hot so there is no need for air conditioning. Our room whilst clean and neat was very stuffy and... More

The exterior and lobby seems big and reasonably furnished but the service and amenities were poor. Staff spoke mainly chinese. You have to rush and fight for your breakfast, whicg is probably not worthwhile anyway. nonchalent restaurant staff. poor hot water supply and none during daytime. had to go without a shower on first night after a long bus trip....
