This hotel was clean and pretty and had competent and tranquil staff who spoke good English. Having stayed in many hotels in China over the years, I have to say that this was definitely one of the better ones. The shower was clean and worked well, the wifi was strong and the breakfast buffet was good. The beds were comfortable... More

I had visited Qufu last month with Thai Media team. This place was arranged for us by local government (tourism sector). Overall it was a pleasant stay in this place even though I didnt have time to use the private balcony (my room was in the first floor, hence I had got a small private balcony). I have to mention... Small hotel that was not air conditioned very well. Lots and lots of mosquitoes in everyone's room. Town is so small you can walk around and shop or eat. Interesting street market in the evening. Just remember your bug spray.

I stayed here with a large group for 2 nights. It is clean and quiet. As every place in China, smoking is allowed in the rooms as well as the restaurant. Be prepared. Breakfast is included; it is eastern style and quite good. There is no Wifi or internet. You can walk to the Temple of Confucius, and there are... More

This hotel was obviously grander in its day. However, it is clean enough. Excluding the carpet in the dinning room. Breakfast was included. Although, this is not a western breakfast. The hotel does a lot of business with coach trips. I do not think they stay at the hotel just eat there. The lunch was very reasonable priced and tasty.... More

I stayed in this hotel for a week as part of a large group from Canada . The hotel is located right beside the Temple of of Confucius and is walking distance to good restaurants (good being the quality of the food, not fine dining), and the main shopping areas. The hotel is in need of refreshing, but on my... More

Located within the boundary of town of Qufu, this hotel can be consider as national heritage. The positives: - Free Wifi in the room and hotel lobby - Historical theme decoration and within walking distance to the town main attraction, Confucius compound. The negatives: - The hotel look very run down, it seems that the owner never hear about renovation... More

Judging by the photos, this is what is now or alao is called the Friendship hotel. Instayed recently on a group tour. Yes, my standards are high, but this place is simply a shanty on anyone's standard scale. It is rickety, smelly and the air conditioning (electricity) is rationed at night so all the rooms in our party were warm... More

It's pretty much been said, great location, formerly great hotel on the skids. Single beds, crappy carpet but otherwise fine. If you know this in advance, no surprises. But the Shangrila will be open soon and that should make for a better experience.

I stayed at Queli Hotel for a week as part of a group. While the staff were friendly, the wifi was less than reliable (the Ethernet cables in the rooms don't work), the rooms were a bit rough around the edges (not very clean, not a 4 star standard as I know it). The second night I awoke to rustling... More
