Ugg... I just saw another review that said the bed sagged in the middle. The bed was terrible. This hotel needs revamped badly. The rooms just feel old & run down. The location seems, in a word, dark. It doesn't seem to be near anything (to be fair, we were just passing through, so may not know what's there), but... more

The staff at the faciltiy was excellent and tried to make our stay enjoyable. The facility has penthouse suites which are not really suitable for young children which was not explained in any of the material I read before booking. We were traveling with a toddler. Also, you enter the penthouse suites by climbing exterior stairs which again is not... more

We booked on priceline and only stayed for one night after a football game. I was excited to try the Residence Inn because I had never stayed there before. We were given a Studio Apartment on the first floor. It had everything! A fireplace, full kitchen, sofa... the whole deal. I could have certainly stayed there for a long time.... more

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Birmingham/Inverness. The rooms were immaculate and had all of the comforts of home. I found the staff to be courteous, helpful and most professional. I especially enjoyed the complimentary dinner and cocktails offered Monday -Thursday. And the breakfast was hot, delicious and filling. I highly recommend... more

I am going to make this short and sweet. Mainly to the point. Deal only with the following people there in the front office: Sean, Shandi, Ms. Chris, or the night auditor Mr. Chris. The rooms for Handicapped customers does not have OVENS!!! They do not want the Handicapped person to get burnt, nor do they want them to burn... more

I stayed in the Birmingham area for 1 night on a business trip. As a loyal Marriott member, I chose to stay at the chain hotel. I arrived with another colleague late at night, around 11pm. The hotel was not far from the airport and took about 20 minutes to get to. When we arrived, my colleague checked in first... more

This place was disgusting. It said recently renovated which to me means more than just some fresh paint on old beat up doors and walls. The beds were so lumpy and the cleanliness I would rate about a 2. There was a huge water damage area in the first room and the TV did not work so we asked to... more

Stayed three days and enjoyed every minute. The staff were very helpful and checked on us daily. The evening social hour Monday through Thursday is excellent with a full selection of food and drinks. The FULL breakfast is to die for. I have never seen so much food and a great selection. I would definitely stay here again and would... more
