This was a semi-random choice for an overnight stay on our way home from Tybee Island, GA. Boy did we get lucky! The hotel is situated above the street, so was fairly quiet, other than the occasional sound of people coming and going until 9pm or so. We booked a nonsmoking king room and searched for a coupon online. Wound... more

I recently had to travel to Birmingham due to a death in the family there. Because events were on the East side of town and somewhat close to Airport, I booked another hotel in that area, stayed one night, then checked the Hampton Inn and moved over there. What a great decision. The hotel [name brand nationally known] that I... more

This is a standard Hampton Inn (this is a positive) with the advantage of being brand new (opened in April 2009). Rooms are nice with flat screen TV, nice layout and comfortable beds. My room had a refrigerator and a microwave, but these are not usually standard in Hampton Inns, so this may not be typical of all rooms. Has... more

I stayed here for three nights on business and was rather pleased. I have never been to the area before, but it's really easy to find the hotel from I-20 and it's not too far from Birmingham Airport. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly . Most importantly, the room was clean and comfortable... and quiet! The hotel offers... more

Not American owned...Upon entering our room there was a very odd smell, musty moldy maybe were my first thoughts, but then as I started opening drawers from the furniture in the room........WHOA, there the smell was, smells as if the furniture had been drenched in water and then it mildewed, that is the smell of room 253 at the quality... more

The best part of this place is the awning over the front door. From there, it goes down hill fast. The deadbolt on the door didn't even come close to the hole in the jam - - a fact I wasn't aware of until I had my jammies on and was ready to crawl into bed. There's a nice tile... more

We stayed here, a suburb of Birmingham, to be near our family. The hotel is nice, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, they needed to be helpful, because our first room had a sink faucet that wouldn't produce more than a few drops of hot water at a time. We were given another room with no fuss,... more
