Found a used condom on a lampshade after checking into our room. Upon checkout was treated so abrasive late I left because I felt the girl would come around the counter after me. The manager was awesome staff needs retraining. Will not visit this hotel again.

Right next to the bjcc convention center. The "uptown" restaurant area is a short walking distance. As far as the staff the little I talked with them seemed friendly and helpfull. The pillows and comforter are down so if you allergic to feathers be aware.

We would have stayed at the Westin, but it was booked. The Sheraton is next door and shares a parking deck with the Westin. When checking in, they told us the overbooked and could not give us a king, only twin doubles. Husband asked for a supervisor and they gave us a king. The only water that would come out... More

From the time I pulled up and encountered Jeffery Gordon's group of contract valet parking men to a really welcome check in by Hannah the whole experience flawless. The facility was clean and bright. My only note of a shortcoming was long distances to get to the restaurants. The bell staff left a bit to be desired. The bellmen seemed,... More

For the most part the staff tried hard and was friendly - especially the valet. The facility itself was quite lacking though. The elevator sounded like it was going to fall apart. The clock in our was on the wrong time and couldn't be reset. The toilet wouldn't stop running the morning we were checking out. The breakfast buffet was... More

If you hope to go beyond the basic Sheraton by paying a few more dollars and booking a room at the Club level at this facility - SAVE YOUR DOLLARS! Though I booked and prepaid for such a room (Club Level) months in advance...placed on lower floor and given a key fo access Club Room on upper floor...RIDICULOUS!!! Moreover, ease... More

I am staying here for work. The hotel is in downtown Birmingham. Inside is nice, clean, well kept and fairly huge. Rooms are nice, well decorated and beds are comfortable. I would stay here again. The bar downstairs actually had some good food and the waitress was very friendly. Front desk staff seem to be a little new. Maybe turnover.... More

This hotel kind of baffled me. They did some stuff so right, and on others they totally dropped the ball. Let me start by saying that the staff are excellent, in the fact that they go out of their way to take care of you, and definitely have that southern hospitality you always hear of. There does however seem to... More

I had to stay at this Sheraton for a business conference for 4 nights. The bottom line is that it's a very aged hotel that is in need of massive renovations, and no amount of friendly service can fix that. The Westin next door seemed to be considerably nicer, but is also probably more expensive. Things to know: -There are... More

The Sheraton Birmingham is not a bad hotel but.....The valet service personnel are not hotel employees. When you arrive by car, your car is unloaded by one group, the cart is pushed inside to hotel employees. You are not supposed to take you own luggage to your room. I went to the check in desk 3 times on 3 separate... More
