Nice hotel especially for the money. It is close to the University of Alabama Birmingham and has restaurants nearby. The rooms are clean and relatively comfortable. The staff is friendly and are very helpful. I would stay here again if in the area.

Really? $10 for one days uses of internet in your room? That is the biggest joke ever. Maybe instead of a free worthless cookie per check in, give the people free wifi. Worst service. Apparently everything is cheaper in the lobby. A bottled soda is $2 but per floor, they have 12 oz can soda vending machines. They are all... More

Bad customer service. Not treated like an individual with needs. May have loud neighbors and smokers nearby. Beware if flight crews are inline, desk people will ignore you and serve them first. You will not get a fresh set of water bottles the next day so plan on providing your own. There is no fridge but there is a good... More

This is the worst hotel I have stayed at. The night manager is terribly rude. You have to pay for your internet. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room or safe. No breakfast not even continental breakfast and if you want a soda or beer expect to pay an arm and a leg for it. No security either.

During a very difficult time in our life our youngest daughter was sent to UAB for cancer surgery. She had been through all the treatments but still had to have extensive surgery. We chose to stay at the Doubletree as we have in other travels. Her stay turned into over two weeks involving yet another surgery. The staff was most... More

Shame it closed early...or maybe it was best it did...;). short walk... More

I have returned to Birmingham for business and will be flying in and out until mid Sept. It is important for me to get an early check in and late check outs. This hotel has been exceedingly accommodating to my business needs. Tabitha at the front desk was sure to have a room waiting for me and was mindful to... More

We were in Birmingham for a quick girls getaway. This hotel is lovely and easy to get to - and had parking right at our floor. The staff was helpful and everything was clean and nice. Close to lots of things.

Birmingham is a progressive city on the move. The Doubletree Hilton is a great location for sight seeing etc. One of the main attractions in city is the Civil Rights museum. The Hotel provides information for these tourist attractions.
