Our family truly enjoyed the Cobb Lane B&B. The house is beautifully decorated, though it may not be everyone's taste. Sheila, the hostess was warm and friendly upon arrival and we had no issues with her. Our family of three stayed in the Country French Suite, which we felt was a great deal. In Country French our teenage son had... More

The B & B and the working staff were great. The breakfast however gave us a different taste for the B & B. The owner definitely caters to the "employed" guests vs the vacationing guests. We were first to enter the dining room and since there was a table to the side set for 2, we chose that in case... More

We owe you an apology from your description of how it seemed to you. Typically those who sit in the smaller side table have told us previously that they do not want to be disturbed, are choosing that location for a private conversation, and don't wish to sit with the group at the larger table. We've learned something today and... More

The Cobb Lane B&B is a lovely traditional house which has been beautifully restored and furnished by the owners, Sheila and Ira Chaffin. It's ideally located in Five Points and an easy walk (downhill) to the downtown area, the medical district and the Railroad Park. The homemade biscuits (cookies) on offer when we arrived were delicious, the breakfast was also... More

The room was inadequate. Not at all as advertised. Not clean. Not warm. In basement. B&B in need of maintenance. The lady owner was gracious her husband was not saying 'do you think you will be ok for five minutes' after replacing a tv that was inoperative. Cannot recommend these accommodations.

Regretfully, the TV in the Zebra room malfunctioned. My husband brought them another one that worked well when this was discovered. He had just received news that his Father had died and was holding back his grief when he did so. He apologizes for any inconvenience they may have experienced and he meant no offense to them. We wish them... More

Meeting friends in Birmingham for Saturday night concert. They were staying at the Cobb Lane B&B and recommended we do the same. There are dozens & dozens of adjectives that I could use but I'll keep it short. Truly a 5 star introduction to the world of B&B's for me. The Chaffins are very proud of their properties and it... These Guests were a lot of fun and we're glad they got to know our Five Points Historic District that has 26 restaurants and evening entertainment venues. Some guests have drinks at one spot, try another for appetizers, a third for dinner, and fourth for dessert and/or listening to music or dancing. The number one dish in Birmingham region, according... More

From the charming Victorian Rose Room, to breakfast at the elegantly set dining table, it is perfect. The host and hostess are charming, interesting individuals yet with a great professional touch. SO much better than any hotel!

Thank you for your kind comments about the Rose Room and the BB breakfast, offered daily in our Dining Room. Guests may also let us know they wish to be pampered and we'll bring them breakfast in bed, no additional charge. We enjoy getting to know our guests, who are very distinguished and accomplished. The owners of this B&B are the most cordial you'll ever want to meet. Rooms are awesome, breakfast is awesome. They have 24 hour cookies and drinks. A wonderfully restored historic house. Ira, a wonderful master carver of full size carousel figures gives a verbal history of his passion. If you ask politely he'll take you 2 blocks away to... More

My wife and I stayed here for a night and we loved it. It is walking distance to restaurants and had a good breakfast. The neighborhood is ok but there is some riff raff near the food district, luckily the BB is right across from the police station. I would recommend this place.

Let me start by saying that the owners of Cobb Lane B&B are so kind and polite. They were excellent hosts. This is a cute little Victorian style home in the 5-points area of Birmingham. It was very central to many places, so the location is good from that aspect. I will admit, when we got off of the exit,... More

Cobb Lane B&B appears charming, and the reviews are good. But when we made our reservation, space was only available in their newly acquired, but not-ready-for-retail building a few blocks away: The Hassinger Daniels Mansion B&B. I accepted the assignment and assumed the establishment would live up to the quality and charm of Cobb Lane. Odd I thought, that I... More
