We were a party of 4 couples on a golf trip. The good... very attractive upscale hotel with excellent rooms and amenities like spa, bars, dining areas, pool. Walk out the back door to the golf. The bar/lounge had a good selection for bar food and tasty and we ate there often. The staff were friendly and service good. the... More

We stayed here for 3 nights while playing the RTJ Golf Trail for the first time. This hotel has a "not quite right" (NQR) factor about it. First, when you drive into view of this Renaissance Resort, it is beautiful. Makes you feel you were transported to Europe. The entry and reception areas are charming. The rooms are nice, rather... We had our annual sales meeting here last week and I must say everything was great. We came here the first month it was open in 2005 and came back this year. The hotel is kept nicely but the staff makes the experience. Everyone was really nice an accommodating. The rooms are nice, well kept nicely appointed. The food and... More

I stay in Birmingham frequently for work. I've only stayed at this hotel three times because of the (lack of) proximity to downtown. The hotel is known for the golf course (which I've played, and is nice). It's also a decent conference hotel - however, it's not a good commuting hotel to downtown. I stayed again recently on business because... More

Had the great experience of playing Ross Bridge during a trip to Alabama to play the Trail. Every aspect of this facility is first rate. The clubhouse is beautiful. The practice facility is excellent and the practice green was huge. The golf course was beautifully maintained and every step led to amazing views. The design was imaginative and fun to... More

Jim S, Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful golf experience with us! I personally feel that the Robert Trent Jones Ross Bridge course is truly magnificent and unique, and I am so happy to hear that you were able to enjoy our bagpiper, and that it exceeded your expectations! Next time, you should play our other course, Oxmoor... More

My buddies and I golf the Robert Trent Jones golf course for a week every other year. This year we started in Mobile, AL and golfed our way up the state ending at Ross bridge. All of our wives drove from the STL area to meet us for the balance of the week. The guys have RAVED about this lodging... More

Dear Bhut32217, We’re not happy that we missed the mark on our opportunity to dazzle you here at the castle. It’s not acceptable and I apologize that we didn’t do well on making your stay here what it should have been. Your experience in our coffee shop was definitely not up to standard and to verbally deliver the message to... More

Visited this hotel for a conference. Unfortunately did not get to use much of the facilities. The rooms were very nice, quite and comfortable. The food served during the conference was prepared very well and the staff were extremly friendly. Nice place to visit but a bit expensive.

I stayed here solo for 3 nights while attending the Porsche Performance Driving School (which was awesome in itself) and was generally pretty pleased with the Renaissance. I'm not a golfer so can't comment on that aspect of the hotel, but I can say that the property is well maintained, clean, with friendly staff, nice big rooms and big bathroom... More

Although the hotel is very well appointed and the grounds lovely, this hotel is greedy. $9.99/ day for internet in your room and the Clubhouse restaurant was extremely expensive for lackluster food and poor service. Brocks restaurant was also pricey, but the wonderful staff and the quality of the food made up for it in a big way. The only... More

We first stayed here shortly after it opened (7 or 8 years ago), and enjoyed it then, as we did now. The rooms are in good shape with nice comfy beds and everything is kept clean and odor-free. In the room, everything was quiet and peaceful with little to no noise from the hall or neighbors. The bathroom was huge... More
