Cost us £250 for 2 nights so i have to admit i had high expectations. Room overall was nice, v spacious with a kitchen, sofas etc. Maybe im just being picky because of the price but the room wasnt amazingly clean...we had dried noodles from the last guests on the counter, big black hand prints on the back of the... My room August 2014 was generous in space, good layout, even had a fireplace! Staff was very helpful and the breakfast had a decent selection including eggs, sausage, waffle iron, etc. Easy walking access to Five Points area with lots of dining options.

I stayed at the Residence Inn downtown Birmingham for a business trip. The room was like an apartment with microwave, stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. Staff is always very helpful and friendly. Rooms are spacious, clean and updated. They have a decent sized pool and a decent gym. Breakfast was free and full of variety including some healthy options for calorie... More

We enjoyed this hotel and were a little surprised at the area surrounding it. It didn't seem to be the heart of downtown we expected (less restaurants & shops than we imagined for it to be a college town). We checked in quite easily and when I realized we asked for the wrong kind of room (we really needed a... More

Our family stayed at the Residence Inn downtown Birmingham for a sightseeing vacation. The room was like an apartment with microwave, stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. They have a decent sized pool that we used every day, right next to the workout room. I once ran on the treadmill while my husband place outside by the pool. Full breakfast was included... More

I love staying at Residence for the full size fridge and stovetop. Everything was great and the room clean and fresh smelling. The only complaint I would have is the parking. If you arrive late, you may have to park on the street.

We stay at the hotel a couple times a year and have always had a great clean room and the staff is very good. The hotel is within walking distance of great food and nightlife. Parking is our only issue.

We stayed one night on our way to FL. Our experience at this hotel was just OK. We didn't hate it, but we are also not racing to hurry back. Average room, average breakfast, average hotel parking. Average. My sister and her hubby got stuck in the elevator the night of our stay. So, there was that. It was fine... More

Very nice room and beautifully appointed hotel. Everything met my high expectations. Downtown and the civil rights area are radial accessible by car and public transportation. We had no problem with parking. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Birmingham.

We were visiting Birmingham to see the Elton John concert and we didn't want to have to make the long drive back home after the concert, so we booked this hotel. Even though the hotel is billed as being within walking distance of the BJCC, it's more than a mile away, which is a stroll during the day, but a... More

We are located 1.68 miles from the BJCC which is on the north side of Birmingham. I apologize if you were given incorrect information on the distance from the hotel. We typically recommend a cab to the BJCC to all of our guests, as it is a busy area during concerts. We apologize that you experienced ambulance noise during your... More
