My husband and I stayed at the Tutwiler 28 + 29 Sept 2009. We loved the hotel! Super room, comfortable beds, spotlessly clean, great bathroom. My wife and I have stayed at the Tutwiler off and on for more that fifteen years...weekend getaways, concerts at the Civic center, etc. We decided to stay there recently on the evening before flying out at the Birmingham airport for a weeklong vacation out of the country. My husband and I stayed here for one night in August. It's in a great location, near downtown and Five Points. The room we had was a corner room. Spacious. Updated furnishings. Nice bathroom. If you’re visiting Birmingham, don’t miss the opportunity to stay at the magnificent Tutwiler Hotel in downtown. I found the Tutwiler by reading reviews of hotels on TripAdvisor.
