This type of accommodation (beautifully and sympathetically converted from old farmbuildings) is rarely found in China and was just what we needed as a relaxing break. The service was very friendly and efficient. The room was large, tastefully and simply furnished, and the bed the most comfortable I have ever had in China (I have wide experience!). The view from... We had a wonderful stay, the people, the food (so fun to even get some Dutch food there), the unique atmosphere - we liked it lots. Would definitely book it again! It's a very relaxed place and the cycling guide-books are genius!

The hotel is 5 km away from Yanghsuo in a village. You can get there by taxi and then go back to town either by taxi or by bike (recommended). The place is just wonderful and you can find there all you need. They have a nice swimming pool, relaxing garden, very yummy restaurant with more than decent prices and... More

my mother-in-law lives in a village near Yangshuo and knew of this place. She booked us (me, hubby and our 3.5-year old) a room here and one for herself. We had the family room, which was just great - a big spacious room for us and an adjoining room with twin beds for our little girl. Lovely and clean. Same... More

My son and I enjoyed a four day retreat from Shanghai. What an amazing haven to escape the city and really connect with this spectacular part of China. We had pre-arranged our adventure weekend via Blackrock Climbing who "no-showed" on our morning of arrival. Thank goodness for the Giggling Tree! The team who know this area better than anyone organized... More

Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable and great to work with. The accommodations are excellent with full service room to include, AC, WIFI, showers and cleaning services. Grab a second floor room, if you are light sleeper or prefer to sleep in. This will limit the food service noise outside your window. Use the location as a hub for area hiking, biking,... More

I agree with an earlier review. Keep this place a secret! As we want go back again and don't want to fund it fully booked. The service from everyone was great. Yes the rooms aren't luxurious but clean good size and very nice in a rustic way. Loved how we could wake up and decide in the morning what to... More

Thank you so much for your kind words. As the houses are old it is not always possible to keep all noises out, but this winter we will try again if we can improve the creaking floors a bit... Hope to meet again one day. More

A palce that you don't want other people to know, but I am excited and tell everyone about it It is not really China anymore, but it is being on vacation in China, from there you can explore the countryside. It was good to be there. We had travelled 2 weeks as an individuals with no guide through China, with... More

We usually stay in more luxurious hotels so we were a little out of our comfort zone here but during our 2 night stay the place grew on us. The location is amazing, the staff friendly and the food very good and very reasonably priced. The pool is great and the tai chi school next door added to our enjoyment.... More

We had a fabulous time. Everyone very friendly, great food and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend a visit. This is a wonderful place to base a visit to Yangshuo, or just enjoy a countryside break. Amazing scenery - hire a bike or if walking preferred there are so many beautiful places to go. So quiet and peaceful although... More
