We stayed here for three nights. It is a quiet peaceful spot 5km out of town. Our room is nicely furnished in traditional Chinese style and it is lovely and warm. This is important in December. Breakfast is not included in our room price but it us good value and views from the roof terrace restaurant are pretty amazing. The... More

The Hidden Dragon Villa was the first of two hotels our family of 4 stayed in during our trip to Yangshuo. An evening arrival, we were greeted warmly by the reception staff with a welcome sign posting our names (a charming little touch). The layout is an open-air central foyer with entry to upstairs rooms via staircase, and a restaurant/bar... More

We made our third trip to Yangshuo during Golden Week (early October 2014) and again stayed at the Hidden Dragon. Others have commented on the beautiful view. We haven't tired of it and continue to enjoy watching the sun go down from the rooftop garden over a drink. This trip was bracketed by business, and we chose Hidden Dragon so... More

Granted, the bed is rock hard, and you'll have to wait a couple om mins for hot water. It could have been cleaner. But the share hospitality and warmth you'll get is what makes this hotel the little gem that it is. Eat at the rooftop restaurant. Ask the manager for the rice wine (overlook his attempt to convince you... More

We heard from friends that we should go to straight to Yangshuo instead of Guilin, and by a coincidence(actually because of the pictures posted of the view from the hotel rooms) we ended up in Hidden Dragon Villa just 5 km outside of Yangshuo. What a great decision! The Hidden Dragon is a quiet nice small family hotel, where we... More

This hotel is an old style Chinese building based around an internal courtyard. The room was very pleasant, and the view from the window was mind blowing as it faced the karst peaks only a few hundred metres away. The receptionist (there was only one while we were there) was exceptional. With quiet good English she organized everything for us,... More

Hotel location is good, however you do need to rely on taxis into Yangshuo itself. Very local service = average in other countries. Staff were pleasant enough. Bathrooms could have been a little cleaner and less moldy, but bedrooms were ok. Our room was very noisy early in the morning with trucks going past as there was a lot of... More

Hotel is strategically located within the scenic corridor. Staffs are friendly and room is clean. Only complaint was the bed bug or whatever that bit me all over my feet during my sleep. It's been a week and I am still scratching!

This hotel was in a beautiful, quiet location, just on the outskirts of Yangshuo. It is actually in a separate village. A brief stroll through the quiet village leads you to peaceful cultivated valleys. The room was clean and as we expected from the photographs online. The bathroom was not as nice as we expected, and the tap water smelled... More

This is definitely the most nicest and most friendly hotel we have been from the 6 hotels we changed in our journey through China from Hong Kong to Beijing!.We booked the hotel having seen the views from the rooms but were so satisfied with everything else that we would highly recomend this hotel to everybody. After staying in Guilin for... More
