If you want to stay right in the town of Yangshuo the Magnolia hotel is a good choice. It is very well located, the bed was comfortable and the room was not huge but there was some room around the bed. The bathroom and shower are relatively small but all was functional so we had no complaints. The room is... More

This hotel was a perfect choice to really get the Yangshuo experience. It's located right by West Street (Xi jie or 西街), which is the pedestrian tourist shopping/bar/restaurant/market area. The facilities are some of the best available in the area with comfortable beds and decent bathrooms. Better than expected for a smaller Chinese city. Furthermore, the staff was friendly and... More

Thought this hotel won tripadvisor 2012 thats why we stayed for 2 nights. falls far from expectation. The Ugly: 1.Noisy - loud karoke noise right next door will keep u up all night 2. Broken Shower - hot water nearly burned me! It went boiling hot and freezing cold and shuts off to a drizzle after 10 minutes!! 3. Heating... More

Enjoyed our stay, in this smaller property. Nice lobby, friendly service. Clean, comfortable room. Near West street. Breakfast was included with our stay at a restaurant about 1 block away. Nice vegetarian restaurant adjacent to hotel. Laundramat across the street. The street in front of the hotel is busy during the day, but quiet at night. Nearby streets behind hotel... More

When we checked in, we found it interesting that as soon as the power was activated in the room, the television automatically came on (blaring). In addition, the hotel provides earplugs in each room. We quickly discovered this is because not only is Yangshuo City an extremely noisy place but the way this hotel (really more like a guest house)... More

We stayed for 6 nights at the Yangshuo Magnolia and worried we had made a mistake. We were there during Golden Week and the street noise was so loud. As it turns out, the Magnolia was the perfect place to be! The second day the crowds lessened, the noise level greatly reduced, and we got colds. We thanked our lucky... More

We stayed five nights at Magnolia Hotel ("Baiyulan" in Chinese as shown on Google Maps) during September 2013. The hotel arranged a car to pick us up at the Guilin airport and transport us to Yangshuo. We were warmly greeted upon arrival with tea and cold towels. The hotel upgraded us to the Imperial Suite much to our delight. The... More

This hotel is centrally located in Yangshuo close to the restaurants, bars, markets and the river. The downside to this is the noise, but the hotel thoughtfully provided ear plugs which fixed the problem. Otherwise, expect traffic noise, shouting, general door banging and construction noise until about 1am and starting again at about 7am. Other hotels in the area are... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and can't fault it. Maybe lack of an elevator. The aircon worked a treat on a sticky day and there was free WiFi. The toilets were clean and the rooms spacious. We enjoyed our stay.

Yangshuo, and this hotel captured my heart. Simply beautiful! The hotel staff, the people of Yangshuo, the landscape, and of course the food were great. I will be returning, and staying longer, I just hope the typhoon I encountered wont happen again :)
