Beware there are two of these hotels, the one closest to New West Street appears dirty, the one in the back streets is dirty. It smells had mouldy bathroom that could have been cleaned but no attempt was made even after our guide complained. The carpet is stained, the "fresh table clothes were stained and had holes. There is only... More

There was nothing special about this hotel. It's quite old looking and dark. There is only only lift servicing the entire hotel, and the staff were also using this lift to take the luggage to the rooms so once the bellboy occupied the lift to send the luggages, the guests have to just wait for the lift to be empty... Checking inn took a long time the staff were unprofessional the carpet stack and the walls are dirty. Their breakfast was very basic. A friend of mine saw a big rat in the hallway. Their Travel Agent is a big scam. No English speaking staff. For 300yuan not worth it. Look for another hotel people.

We stayed in this hotel for our tour under Guilin Tailian International Travel Service. The hotel looks simple and budget. The time we arrived Yangshuo City, we found that this city is reall nice and unique. Everything is much impressive with their scenic view of lake stones. We checked in at this hotel at night after travelling about 3 hours... More

I have a feeling that this hotel is totally mismanaged. They call it 5 stars and I am sure that by international standards it would barely receive 2-3. The reception staff are not frienddly and no-one speaks english. The entire place is filthy.By chance we needed to move a sofa in the lobby and there were stacks of dirt below... More

We stayed at this hotel with China Focus tours. The only good thing was the view. The carpet had stains and the staff were unhelpful. The glass walled bathroom is great for "design" but totally impractical. The hotel was not in a great location. You had to take a cart to get to a part of the city that offered... More

One night was enough. Hotel is on a busy street, you have to take a golf cart to get from this hotel back to the main shopping street. The room had filthy carpet, thin towels, box spring and no mattress. No western breakfast, not even cereal. It did have free wifi and a nice area out back with a pool,... More

The hotel lobby looks grand. The rooms are okay but there is a glass partition with the bathroom which seemed very odd. Of course there is a curtain which can be pulled; but it is outside in the bedroom side, so the person inside the bath has no choice! We felt very odd with this arrangement. The breakfast buffet was... More

You enter a stunning marble lobby. Rooms are of normal size ,look good at first glance.Dark wood panels with golden inlays. The bed is good. There is a glass wall to the bathroom and unfortunately every time you enter the bathroom very bright lights together with a noisy fan go on automatically- not practical at all. Early in the morning... More

My wife and I spent 1 night here after we spent the previous night at the Shangra La in Guilin. We were on a 5 star tour with superb hotels. So we were extremely disappointed to be put up in this dump. Not sure how they can claim it is a 4 start. It is closer to a 1 star.... More
