You may wonder why my captioned title is such ;) A Seven Star Convention Resort Hotel. I would categorise this hotel as a very luxurious place to stay. Why? It's because it shines glamorously in "gold" colour. The lobby is really huge!! One thing unique in this hotel is that "ladies" enter the "gents" toilet...hahaha. And, this is for a... More

This is one of the biggest and most luxurious hotels in the city. The location is great, just beside the lake, and close to the city center, very convienient for sightseeing or shooping. The staff wer e very efficient with good manner, thats really good! The room is very spacious, nearly 50m2 for a standard room with two 1.5m-wide single... More

It is a massive hotel, but with excellent facilities, big bedrooms with very good views, very good food, interesting and unusual quadrangles, and right hext to the Seven Star Grags attaction - making the exploring there very easy. The service was exemplary, nothing was too much trouble - with particular praise for Amy How, Front Office Manager, who was always... More

I didnt tried the hot spring, but my friend said that was good. The outdoor swimming pool was closed and the indoor swimming was near the hot spring, the environment was quite dark and dim so I didnt swim at all. The room is very clean and big. 3 TV in the bathroom :)

We didn't see a single westerner during our weekend stay at this hotel. It is definitely a resort hotel for the locals. The room was quite large and comfortable with all the amenities one might expect. The adult pool was closed for maintenance, which was a bit disappointing. The children's pool was nice with climbing equipment and slides (similar to... More

My parents and I stayed here for a night when we missed out flight to Zhang Jia Jie (traffic jams around Guangzhou is an absolute nightmare, try to avoid at all costs!). The hotel can be summed up in one word: massive. Everything is massive about this hotel - lobby, rooms, surrounding exterior gardens, restaurants, plantations....everything. Not unsurprisingly, given it... More

Vast lobby and aquariums in the lobby WC's make for an impressive sight and introduction to the rest of the hotel. Hotel rooms are good with individual built in TV's in front of the en-suite WC and Jacuzzi bath. Remote control operates all the lights, curtains, TV and radio. Indoor swimming pool is like a cave and a little dark... More

Hotel is located on the Craigs seven star lake. The lake offers alot of outdoor activity and beauty. I personally strap on my roller blades and explore the trails. As for the hotel its a very confusing and lavish building (first blush). Get to the details and its just an ok place to stay. Buffet is ok based on preferences,... More

OYC hotel is beyond my imagination. It doesn't look grand from the outside, but on entering their hotel lobby, my, my, the lobby is so huge. Even the hotel logo on entering is made of real gold. As for the rooms, can you imagine a standard room can accomodate 2 queen size beds with ample walking space, a huge walk... More

Like many Chinese operated hotels that aspire to high star ratings or self-rate, the OYC is grand at first ( and indeed 2 nd) glance! the foyer is massive and the rooms are huge.Wifi is free. To get to the outdoor swimming pool entails a very, long walk, first from room to changing area, then bizarely, an even longer walk... More
