The hotel is a bit shabby, the room was a touch damp, but the heating worked and so did the toilet. It was very expensive for what it was. However the location is what you pay for and it was sublime. If you get up early, you can find a place to experience the dawn breaking over the "North Sea"... More

Yes, I know this hotel is on a mountain top so one should expect to pay a premium, but this was by far the most expensive hotel we stayed in on a 14-day trip to China (all hotels being 4 or 5 star) and was by far the worst value. Despite the fact that most everyone who stays here has... More

The hotel was not very clean (especially bed sheets), staff was supercold and totally not welcoming (lots of staffers, none could speak English and one was playing with her smartphone sitting on the guest chair, while guests were left standing), very noisy rooms. At the restaurant they refused to serve rice and baozi because I was not buying more expensive... More

We have just stayed overnight at the hotel so we could enjoy the early morning hike the next day. As we have stayed at mostly higher end hotels in China since arriving, the very good rating may seem a stretch. The quality of the hotel is not the highest as others have noted and the carpets are old and the... More

Stayed overnight as part of private tour. Yungu cable car up then two leisurely hours of popping scenery before hotel check in. Hotel is massive, we visited during May long weekend, hotel at capacity. Sure, not the newest hotel nor deluxe but given the price and location, I was well satisfied. Our room located in the newer wing, higher floor,... More

1. Clean and comfy bed to rest and rejuvenate tired body and sore feet! 2. Facilities for warm and soothing shower after long hikes. (Bring your own bath gel and shampoo). 3. Hygienic place for reasonably good meals. Slept well, rested well and ate well. This was sort of a spartan, mountain hiking trip. Housekeeping team was prompt and efficient... More

I was expecting a quaint little rooming house nestled in the mountains, not so! This hotel is one of 5 very large hotels complexes on top of Yellow Mountain. The setting is absolutely gorgeous! Perched atop the mountain with absolutely spectacular views all around! However, it is run down and in need of updates. The carpets are filthy to be... More

This hotel is probably the best location to start the visit of the yellow mountain. Apart from this the rest is not so good. The room vas smelling (hmmm how can I say it in a nice way?... smelling toilet!) The bed was hard like to sleep on an obituitary bed. Breakfast was good and wifi working well

We spent one night there. Our rooms were not in the main hotel building, but in the annex just in front. Nothing fancy, rooms are very basic but I wasn't expecting much more. Not cheap (~100USD/room per night) but considering the amazing location and logistics needed, I don't find it abusive at all. Clean rooms, heater and blankets provided, correct... More

We packed a backpack with stuff for an overnight stay which included change of clothing, poncho, umbrellas, toothbrush/paste, shaving equipment, shampoo and other cosmetic and meds one might need. We left our large luggage and excess belongings down at our hotel in the city. The Beihai hotel provides only one small bar of soap and towels – no face towels.... More
