After reading all the reviews about the hotels on Mt Huangshan we were expecting the absolute worst!! But instead what we found was the complete opposite. My partner and I stayed in the dorms at the Beihai. We did have to sleep in seperate rooms which wasn't ideal but we were expecting it so that's ok. Also there were no... More

Beihai and Shilin hotels are in the best location, in the middle between yungu and taiping cableways. Rooms sre small, the bathroom is dirty and outdated, bring your toiletries with you otherwise you need to buy the toothbrush, shampoo, etc (for a 4star hotel in China just incredible!, even a 120yuan no star hotel provides them for free) means, you... Well, this is on Huangshan and with the fairy tale scenery no hotel can be bad, for example Beihai Hotel, but to say it is that good I must have reservation. First on the location; Huangshan is not that big really, but a more strategic location is still needed to avoid constantly walking back & forth on the same path... More

Absolutely excellent! From the President room we could see the sunrise staying in bed! but it was not easy to get it!!! you have to insist a lot, as it is not possible to make reservation, it is subject to availability. Standard rooms have no air conditioning and have noisy fans...really disappointing, everywhere else it would be low standard, so... More

This place is rated a 4 star hotel but for western standards I would rate it 1.5. You are pretty much paying for the location at this hotel. The beds have barely any padding on the mattress and the blanket are super thin. I visited on December 2014, weather at that time is 30F. The Heater on this place works... More

You stay at this hotel for the location, not for the facilities. The hotel is located in a prime location on the mountain: the view immediately outside offers amazing views over Beihai and is conveniently close to the Yongu cableway. I stayed in a Standard Room, a twin, that could have used a decent clean and renovation. There was some... More

This is an amazing spot. We thought we were the only hotel up here but there were 8 hotel in total. The chairlift was an amazing experience getting to the top. Great photo opportunities everywhere. Lot to choose from the buffet. Dinner was good also in the restaurant. Rooms were clean with lovely linen. We spent two night here but... More

This is the place to stay for sunrise and it is a short 20-30 minute hike to and from the gondola (if you take the correct path). Be prepared for everything being expensive but also remember it is all carried up by porters. The food was fine but not fabulous - definitely bring snacks with you! The first room we... More

I passed to mount Huangshan, China for the second time, stay at the top main Hotel of the resort Beihai. Rooms and facilities to small and to simple in meeting a grade class of three stars All attractions built up more than a century ago develop for all tourist class by know. Nor seasonal holiday always over capacity. Hotel restaurants... More

Stayed only one night with two friends. The location of this hotel is very convenient, both from the cable car station as well as the other attractions, one of which was the Lions Rock lookout, which is very popular for viewing the sunrise. We picked the cheapest option, which was the dormitories. It was a six-person, single-sex dormitory, which we... More
