I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at this hotel. I was expecting an average accommodation based on some of the reviews, but after the long hike up those stairs, I was very happy with my room, and the facility in general. The positives... the location is great for a jumping off point for the west canyon. The lobby, lounge,... More

This is supposed to be best hotel in Huangshan mountain. But it is expensive for the facilities it is having. Rooms are okay. But ensure that you get the room with big windows. inspite of all this, it is a good option.

Make sure if you stay bring your own wine or champagne. We hiked to the top and loved arriving to this luxurious hotel only to find we had to carry our own bags to the room. The only wine was Beijing wall which we undrinkable. We paid 150 rmb the next morning for a coffee which was outrageous. They do... More

I am writing from my room in hotel Xihai now. Overall, the hotel lives up to expectations. Location: From the YunGu ropeway, it took us about 1.5 hrs' saunter (with detours and photo stops to various scenic view points ) to reach the hotel. The walk is mostly downhill on well paved stone steps with some uphills so it wasn't... More

Definitely stay at this hotel if you can afford it. It is the best option at the moment for hotels on top of the mountain. We changed hotel rooms 3 times because of the rooms that stank of cigarette smoke. It would be good if the hotel had a non-smoking floor. The restaurants in the hotel are good but make... More

Hotel looks new and stylishly designed. Well maintained. Surprisingly far from the cable car station (about 3 km of staired path), it was well equipped enough to impress. Food served may be a little less variety but given its positions it was good enough In front of hotel entrance, nice view of huangshan are ever presence Overall pleasant stay

A great surprise for us, the south wing at the hotel was really luxurious for China and for the location... It seemed to be by far the best hotel at the top of the mountain. Dinner was good, breakfast buffet very good (especially for China) but a bit expensive. My only complaint would be the location, the hotel is a... More

Xihai hotel is very close to TaiPing cable way station, about 250meters, right after Paiyunlou Hotel. It is, and this is unique, a true 4star hotel among the few hotels on top of the mountain, that claim to be 4star but being at best 2-3star. Nice rooms, nice restaurant, acceptable food (it looks nice but doesn't have the quality you... More

We looked at the web and found that xihai hotel is a 5 star and one of the best in the mountain. So we booked it. There were actually 2 xihai hotel. Across from each other but connected. Our room were the one down. It's an older building. It's more like 2 star hotel. Lobby was small. No one speaks... More

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Very nicely decorated. But cold, despite having indoor, central heating! And there were other guests smoking indoors, which was not ideal. The lobby is beautiful, and the restaurant is nice (but expensive, as one would guess), location is obviously gorgeous. The shower was hot enough, but when I tried to take the bath, it... More
