We had a lovely 5 day stay at this hotel. Great location, minutes walk from the Main Street. Friendly, helpful staff. Dining room looked lovely but due to early starts we didn't have breakfast there. The grounds were lovely and the pool kept very clean. Our room was very comfortable and clean.

So close to the “Main Street” of San Pedro - this has a very nice pool area and is very family friendly. Breakfast has a nice selection, fresh fruit and choices of freshly prepared eggs. Staff is very friendly and eager to keep up the property. I really liked the architecture of the villas as they are perfectly round, yet have everything you might need! Only downside truly is warm water (shower and pool) which should be easily achieved considering daytime temperatures. However, I do understand that nights are quite cold up here so maybe there is a pool cover or solar thermal water panels in the future.

I stayed at this hotel with a large group of people from my university. During our stay, a maid robbed around $200,000 CLP total from 4 peoples' rooms. The maid was fired, but upon discovering the 4th case, the hotel manager refused to give our program director (the 4th victim) back her money and insinuated that she was lying. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEARTACHE and stay at LITERALLY ANY OF THE OTHER 20 HOTELS IN TOWN.

I stayed at this hotel with a large group (17 people), and 4 people had cash stolen from their rooms. We discovered 3 cases initially and the hotel’s first response was positive: they called the police, fired the suspect (a member of the cleaning staff who had also been accused of theft at her previous job) and paid back the travelers. So far, so good. An hour and a half later I discovered that I was also missing cash, and the hotel confirmed that my room had been cleaned that morning by the same person. However, they absolutely refused to compensate me for my loss (about US$45) because I HADN’T NOTICED IN TIME and the case, according to them, had already been settled and I should have checked my wallet earlier. I explained that I was so focused on dealing with the other three cases and the police—I was traveling as group leader in charge of 16 students—that it had slipped my mind. The front desk receptionist went so far as to call me a liar. I called the police, who came to the hotel to take my declaration. Despite this the hotel absolutely refused to believe me or compensate me for my loss. I have led group trips to San Pedro for 10+ years and have stayed at this hotel many times before, always without incident. This meant absolutely nothing to them. I have never been treated so poorly at a hotel. Their response was humiliating; the manager refused to talk to me in person, communicating instead via WhatsApp through the receptionist. Stay away!!!…

We rented a room for three people. The room was more like a cell than a hotel room. Everything in the room including the floor, the bathroom, the walls and the furniture was very old and outdated. The furniture looked like it was from a garage sale. The room had a small vent window near the ceiling and had no regular window. Three nights and at least one day we had no water in the room. We had to chase very unresponsive hotel stuff to fix the problem with the water. Once we even left hotel not being able to brush the teeth in the room. One night the water stopped while I was in the shower with the shampoo on my head. The stuff was very unhelpful and their English was limited to only be able to perform check-in and check-out. The breakfast was very poor - just one type of ham, one type of salami and one type of cheese, all served on the same plate. In addition two cereals and bread and jam plus eggs.…

Very well situated - one street back from main street, quiet and pleasant hotel. We enjoyed staying in one of the authentic adobe huts. Breakfast of fruit, cereal, eggs and pastries. Hotel staff prepared breakfast packs on the days when we had early excursions. We recommend Hotel Tulor

Did a late booking in Atacama and didn’t have any idea about the place. Came across Hotel Tulor and decided to book it through hotels.com. It was a very pleasant surprise with personal touch. We arrived and checked in very late (and hungry) after a missed flight connection. The staff was kind enough to make us sandwiches. We went in summer, the room didn’t have air conditioning or fan (all the rooms have straw roof) but that wasn’t too much of a problem as the dessert is cooler in the morning and in the night. The town itself is quite small & everything is walkable. The excursion bus picked us up right outside the hotel. If you are looking for a place to stay in Atacama, I’d definitely recommend this.

Our stay at Hotel Tulor couldn’t have been any more pleasant. The hotel is very well located—close to the main street of San Pedro but comfortably off the principal traffic route. The hotel is tastefully decorated in traditional Atacamenos style replete with memorabilia of the owner, a renowned archeologist who has made a number of important excavations in the area. The staff were extremely helpful and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable, especially the manager, Ludolf, and the front desk attendents, Yassna and Constanza. We hope to return to San Pedro soon and when we do, we will head straight for Hotel Tulor.

We got to Tulor by chance, reception staff was very friendly and open for a special deal. Taxes (19%) were waived upon passport presentation and we also got an extra 5% discount by paying in cash. A nice breakfast is also included. Nice place.
