I've had the opportunity to visit San Pedro twice in the last couple of years. First in Nov 2012 with a group of friends, and a second time in July 2013 with my wife and two children. During my first visit I stayed at Lodge La Aldea, and even thought it was only for a couple of days, I loved... More

I hate writing reviews like this but I really feel that the "Lodge" should know and make changes... as in many cases it is the little things that count. The website and the place in general looks great and you can tell that they spent money to make it ascetically pleasing. However the reality is far different. I stayed here... More

Wonderfull place. It's a oasis in the middle of atacama desert. Tidy, cosy and a friendly stuff. Ricardo and Ximena, the owners , was great. They don't miss nothing anytimeand help me to choose the best trips to do. I recomend for all people who wants to go to San Pedro de Atacama.

The hotel is very beautiful and relaxing. We stayed in a cabin and the architecture was gorgeous! The location wasn't in downtown but it was always a nice walk to get there! They recommended good tour guides and had a gorgeous pool and Jacuzzi. The staff was very helpful and asked us what time for breakfast, when we wanted to... More

The web site of this hotel is marvelous! But the reality is far away from the presentation in the web! First they offer tv service, and the tv was without service all the time! We couldn't even watch the national channels! Our room suppose to have a jacuzzi, and it was not working, the hotel has a jacuzzi for the... More

In a month's trip round South America this was by far the worst place we stayed at. Our room was very poor with very uncomfortable beds. Dogs barking much of the night made sleeping even more difficult. The swimming pool was half full with dirty water and effectively unuseable. No restaurant on the premises (though their web site refer to... More

We went to San Pedro on a lark and so we had to scramble a bit to find a hotel for Easter weekend. La Aldea had a cabana available and that was more than we needed, but after a long flight and bus trip, we just said yes. Overall, I'd say it is too pricey for what it is: the... More
