San Pedro de Atacama may in the very middle of the middle of nowhere, but La Casa de Don Tomas is a pleasant respite from the otherwise harsh sand environment. It seems the once quiet city has been changed by a tourist boom with many hotels, restaurants serving creative dishes, and tour agencies everywhere. I stayed at the hotel for... More

The rooms was not overly large but more than adequate. My real gripe would be the sliding door to the bathroom which is difficult to open quietly in the middle of the night. Its location is near enough to the centre not to feel isolated but far enough away to be quiet. The swimming pool is a bonus. Breakfast was... More

Small double and twin rooms, very comfortable beds. Very small bathrooms. Endless supply of coca tea in the reception area. Very good evening meals in the small breakfast room area. Some outdoor seating and a swimming pool. Friendly staff. All in all, a decent place to stay in San Pedro.

My wife and I had a good stay in Hotel La Casa de Don Tomas. The room was big and clean, but the sand around doesn't help to keep the cleanliness at all time. The service is friendly, there is a swimming pool that makes a plus. The hotel is at 5 minutes walking distance from the main touristic street.... More

Friendly and professional staffs; bright and cheerful environment; complimentary 24 hr tea and coffee; good selection of in-house dining; and plenty of hot water -- what's more can one ask. Just don't be put off by their website. The place is really bright, clean and comfortable. It is not a small establishment, but is professionally run. Seven minutes walk can... More

We stayed at La Casa de Don Tomas for two nights and we found the rooms to be functional and clean. The staff were brilliant and ready to do anything to help. The breakfast is plentiful and we were able to order off menu items (eggs etc) without any issue. The hotel is a short ten minute walk from the... More

Pros: english speaking staffers, quiet, clean, pool, wifi, Cons: no tv, dark walk back in the evening, small bathroom This is a nice hotel in a tourist town. The grounds are lovely with nice outdoor spaces to hang out. Wifi works well enough to run netflix, which was good since there is no tv. The staff are very friendly and... More

We stayed here as part of our Imagine Latin America holiday. The room was really big and clean- best feature we thought if this place. The pool was lovely as was the seating area around it. Breakfast was grand and staff were ok. It was a short walk from the Main Street and restaurants.

The hotel is situated about 800 metres down a dusty road from the main street in San Pedro. The staff were very helpful with trips and checking out times. The restaurant is OK, but there are few staff members with even a passing knowledge of English, except on the desk. At $150 per night, the price is too high, as... More

We stayed here as part of a holiday booked through imagine Latin America. The hotel is five minutes walk from the main streets of San Pedro. The room was a good size and had a smallish bathroom with a shower no bath. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast was good but there was not much choice.... More
