good rooms, nice showers and the kitchen was fine. No included breakfast but I found it a change to get my own breakfast and have a change from bread and jam! I was going on a trip to Bolivian salt flats and as you are at 2000m here its good to test if you are likely to suffer from altitude,... More

We stayed two nights here in a 4 bed dorm and I booked it through hostelworld for 9,000 chilean Pesos per night per bed which is really reasonable in San Pedro de Atacama which is overpriced in general. Firstly, this hostel is a 10 minute walk from the town centre and it is a little difficult to find the first... More

The hostel was very difficult to find, and believe me you can find a cheaper place to stay without booking on-line. There's no breakfast: you get tea, coffee when the staff can be bothered maybe 8 am maybe 9 am, which was quite annoying when we wanted to leave earlier for a bike ride. You can find a cheaper bike... More

If I were 21 years old, I'd probably give this place 4 or 5 stars. I'm 35. I didn't belong there. However, Carlos is a very nice man and when it comes to helping out with airport transportation and organizing tours - 5 stars! I had a private room that had bunk beds and a chair/futon thing. The bed was... More

San Pedro backpackers was very charming and a nice little oasis for us travelling many days from Santiago. It was very informative and the owner or manager was extremely helpful at all times (thank you!) -The beds are warm enough for the cold nights and the courtyard is a great place to chill in the warm days. -WIFI is really... San Pedro is a small place but the hostel is located slightly out of the centre. If you are female solo traveller this potentially isn't the best hostel- located on the edge of the town, but for groups or pairs the place has a nice vibe with an outside fire and is well known within San Pedro. We booked an... More

Lovely place just outside town. Great bar witch serves amazing cocktails. Outside fire most nights. Showers aren´t great but the one behind the reception is the one to go for. Hammocks and cosy corners everywhere plus decent laundary service. No breackfast but coffee and hot chocolate available in the mornings. Overall we´ve loved this place and would definately recomend!

I stayed in Backpackers with a friend for 5 days and it was totally fine. Good safety with a 24 hour receptionist and door always locked. 10 min walk to town is safe but you want to be at least 2 at night with a torch as there are some hidden ditches. Showers are fine - hot water usually but... More

I stayed here with a friend in February for a few nights, we were in a small, cramped four bed dorm. Some of the things that I disliked about the hostel were: The number of flies that bothered you during the day and early evenings. The hostel had a ban on bringing alcohol into the property, no justification was given... More

I stayed here in March after finishing the Solar de Uyuni tour. I was only here for one night but all the staff was very helpful with anything we needed. It's a little off the beaten path from the center - about a ten minute walk. Prices were reasonable and they have hammocks to relax in as well as a... More
