Small cottages in a very cozy, local style. Our room was cleaned daily, heated. Very clean and nice. The staff left us chocolates every day. We were asked for our plans for the next day, every day. When we could be at breakfast the hotel prepared us breakfast to go and it was enormous. The restaurant prepares great drinks but the... More

The cottage we had was very comfortable and clean, the meals were all enjoyable but it was the addition of the tours that made this an excellent stay. We were fortunate enough to have Salvador who heads the hotel's tour services as our guide and we could not have had a more delightful experience, the excitement was contagious with the... More

Poblado Kimal is the annex of the Hotel Kimal across the street, right around the corner from the main drag in San Pedro. A collection of little cabanas with porches, it is quiet, has character and comfort. Small complaint, rooms had little light, and windows didn't open. But I loved the little porch. Breakfast is served across the street at... More

Hello Eileen, I appreciate the positive comments but your comment about our tours is down right unfair. I answered you a total of 18 emails with information about our tours including a pdf of descriptions and photographs explaining the routes of the excursions and your final email requested the booking of tours to Valle de la Luna and Laguna Cejar.... For the price they charge they could do better. Don't stay close to the street, to noise. The lodge are clean and they prepare a snack to carry on when you have an early tour. The breakfast should start 7:15 AM, never ready and the selection is poor. They can start earlier to match tours hours and i prove inthe... More

This hotel was recommended by my agent. I travel widely. For the high cost ($180per night) it is a disaster. On arrival most of the lights in my room were not working. Also in trying to fix them I find it difficult to find and English speaking staff member. For two days the shower cut off the hot water half... More

First impressions are important and the fact that it took over 30 minutes to check in was not a good start. The lack of 'go' in the front office staff was evident throughout the stay as other small tasks such as printing boarding passes took an inordinate time and several attempts. that said the hotel accommodation was excellent; the wild... My Mum and I stayed at Poblado Kimal for 4 nights in March. I chose the excursions and half board package (which also included airport transfers) which was excellent value. There are a few very high end hotels in San Pedro which also offer all inclusive stays, however they are very expensive and were out of our price range. Poblado... More

The hotel comprises a number of wooden cabins which are over the road from the main reception, small pool, restaurant etc. Cabins were spacious and of an acceptable standard, although a noisy minibar was irritating so I unplugged it. A safety deposit box was not provided which, given the open nature of the hotel, was a worry, but I suffered... More

A nice "resort" near the centre of San Pedro de Atacama. We stayed in a cabana and not in the hotel. We had enough space although the wardrobe was too small. No airconditioning but there is a fan and you can try opening the windows, although that is not always an option. The shower was good, luckily not in a... More

Thanks so much for your review of our hotel. Just to use this opportunity to anounce that just a few days ago we finally expanded the range of the wifi signal to reach all the rooms of Poblado Kimal. So I´m sorry you didn´t get the benefit of that. As for the carpark, I´m afraid we keep it locked for... More

Having spent 3 days on the Salt Flats in Bolivia we thought we would treat ourselves when we arrived in San Pedro de Atacama spending over £120 / $200 a night to stay in this hotel which following our stay of 2 nights we thought was overpriced. Firstly the positives. Nice private and spacious huts with hot running water, the... More
