First off, the pros: the room was clean and the shower was good. Now for the cons: 42,000 pesos a night for a basic twin room with private bathroom. It's a good walk from the town centre. The owner was condescending and at times rude. The breakfast was AWFUL, with a slice of plastic ham per person, one roll each... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at Hostal Vilama for 4 nights in January 2012. The hostel is extremely clean and quiet and offers free WiFi. The staff is kind and helpful, but they speak only Spanish. The owner came and picked us up at the bus station for free and even drove us back on our last day. The cleaning... More

The price of the apartment was not so cheap(there are OTHER options sanpedro), the cleaning was good, location 10 minutes Caracoles St.. But we were treated with extreme suspicion, watched everything we did.The heat only works 4 hours a day (pay additional hour used). We have been accused of breaking the heating of the apartment. Not one call was made by the... The hostel is runned by two very friendly and helpfull sisters and is set in a very quiet part of San Pedro. We booked by email (in English) and that was no problem. The rooms are very clean and there is a good hot shower. There is wi-fi. In the backyard there is a little kitchen where breakfast is served,... More

We arrived in San Pedro with no place to stay and the hostel owners were at the bus stop. We stayed in a comfortable room with a double bed but space is quite tight. Good shower and very clean hostel. Breakfast was the usual bread roll and jam in the courtyard. They do offer a laundry service for a reasonable... More

We originally booked a triple room at Hostal Vilama but it was so tiny that we changed to a twin and single. Apart from small rooms, the hostal was very clean and tidy and the hosts were very obliging, leaving a flask of coffee for us in our room on the first night. There's a separate kitchen to eat breakfast... More

We stayed at the Vilama for 3 nights. Its on the outskirts of where its all happening - about a 5-10 min walk away - which meant it was nice and quiet. The rooms are small and basic but very clean and after spending 3 nights touring the Bolivian volcanos and staying in hotels with no hot water, the shower... More
