My auntie and I stayed at Club La Serena Hotel in Chile for one night, we chose this hotel as it looked really nice and it was across the road from the sea. Yes it is across the road from the sea but besides that there was nothing spectacular about it. It almost appeared as it was abondoned, when you... More

Don't let the pictures on the Internet fool you. We had booked online because we wanted to stay in a hotel on the ocean. This was not a cheap price so we wrongly assumed it would be nice. The rooms are filthy (I really don't think the rooms had been vacuumed in a very long time). The bathroom was small... More

Not too bad of a location, check in was a pain though, very slow and confusing. I travel for business and sometimes the local dealer makes the reservations for me, this proved to be problematic, they didn't ask for a second night and we had to relocate for the next night. the restaurant wasn't too bad, service was better than... We stayed here for one night, which was okay. It is too much a familyhotel for us to stay for a long time (crowded pool and children running around during breakfast). Our room was spacious with a separate bedroom and even a balcony. And a refrigerator! Decoration a bit dated but you must walk at the beach and not sit... More

We stayed there 1 night on our way back from the valley de elqui. The rooms were nice and clean and near the beach. It should be said that Av. del Mar seemed to always have traffic jams even on a sunday so it was a little annoying to get in and out of the hotel. The pool was very... More

This is a well located hotel in coast front line, but the rooms are facing side to the sea. The reception staff is very friendly, not so applicable to the restaurant staff... The breakfast is very very basic and, when I asked for a few tomato slides, o was informed that I would be charged 2500 pesos for one single... More

Hotels in Chile are expensive relative to other parts of the world and have few amenities. In that context this hotel was good value for money- very clean, large comfortable mattress, very good breakfast and efficient professional staff- right across the street from the Ocean. Like all of Chile, when you leave Santiag,o the people in the hotel and in... More

We were sold on the pictures and descriptions as given. However, if you are a higher end traveller, would not recommend. Good for lower to medium affordability. In need of TLC the place is dated, even though some updates evident. Very cold , no A/C, thin duvet , clean , but extra blankets smelly. Standard Chile breakfast.

Book early during busy holiday seasons and avoid the limited options. Chile is generally not a cheap destination and the same applies to this hotel however, for the money there are superior options in La Serena. Everything from Service to rooms to restaurant are average at best and poor for the price.

Just talking about standards you have to reach and fulfill, the hotel did quite well. The breakfast buffet was ok, there is a nice pool, the room was clean. But what the hotel absolutely misses is any sort of charm or atmosphere. The room was very basic, the main building looks like an apartment block from the 70s (which I... More
