Beautiful place near the mountains about 2 hrs south of Santiago. Decorated with love and care. We had a wonderful experience. Our hosts, Ruth and Vicente, care for every detail and made us feel at home. The food was wonderful! Mapuyampay was the highlight of our trip! Can't wait to go back...

Could not believe the property when we arrived there. Beautiful setting with mountains in the background, lovely well furnished cabins, lush green gardens and swimming pool. Probably the best part was our hosts Ruth and Vincente who make us feel really welcome in their home, water melon by the pool, cocktails before dinner and a lovely three course dinner. Both... More

Three of us spent a week at Mapuyampay with Ruth and Vincente - and it was the highlight of our two and a half weeks in Chile. We stayed in the cabin which has two bedrooms, kitchen, dining and living area - and a fabulous private patio. The grounds of the property are lovely - green and lush with a... More

I hardly know where to start in describing our very best experience in over 3 weeks of traveling through Chile. Do not be discouraged by the road to Mapuyampy. It goes from paved to gravel to dirt. You will drive over a broken down wooden bridge that you will think will not hold your car...but it will! We were there... More

After 10 days in the far South of Chile and Patagonia, we were ready for some R&R. Ruth and Vicente (the King of Pisco Sours!) excelled! it's off the beaten track, but well worth the effort of finding it. Ruth is a fabulous chef and my wife and I both did the half-day cookery course, after which we, our friends,... More

Scenic, comfortable and peacefully quiet. Freshly prepared gourmet food each night by genial, helpful hosts. Nothing could have improved our experience at Mapuyampay. The experience began with our search for respite from a hectic touring schedule. Thanks to Trip Advisor I discovered this place and began an e-mail correspondence with Ruth and Vincente, the proprietors. It was such an easy-going... More

I can't say enough good things about Mapuyampay. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with amazing people, food, and wine, stop thinking about it and just book. Ruth and Vicente are kind, knowledgeable, and intuitive hosts with a passion for good food and wine and the region. They know all the good day trips to nearby wineries, museums,... More

My wife and I are on our honeymoon and wanted to find somewhere peaceful, beautiful, simple and yet luxurious for a couple of nights (we stayed for 3). What Ruth and Vicente have created here at Mapuyampay ticked all of our boxes. To call it remote is an understatement...be prepared for a bumpy ride off the beaten track to get... More

The grounds at Mapuyampay – gardens with vistas of the Andes Mountains – are incredibly tranquil and provide a true “retreat” from the busy city life. El campo bonito y tranquil. The overall experience is amazing from the beauty of your surroundings to the incredible food to the wonderful service of Ruth and Vincente. Ruth is an international chef whose... More

We had the most amazing two night stay. Ruth and Vincente were so marvellous, attentive, gracious and so very passionate about the service they provide in their beautiful guesthouse, we felt at home. And boy, can they put on a good spread! Ruth is an amazing chef and Vincente makes a bloody good Pisco Sour, and we tried a few... More
