The rooms are beyond beautiful, it's hard to comprehend how wonderful the architecture of this hotel is. Very magical and beautifully restored, it's easy to feel like a French princess while staying here. Tiles, 4 poster beds, high ceilings and original maps- super nicely done! Pool is also divine, always the perfect temperature. Ate some of the best French food... More

First the positives; the location is great, easy access to the 'downtown area' and central to most of the places of you'd want to visit in the surrounding vicinity. The building itself is wonderful, a fine example of French colonial architecture. The interior retains many original features and the public areas are on the whole clean and comfortable. Now for... Dear Guest, First, thank you for your review. "Good" or "bad", I am sure we have to listen to our guests in order to improve our quality.... I have to apologize for the surroundings of our swimming pool: we have just made dig a well and we need time to reorganize our garden behind. But I can assure you that... More

We stayed in Battambang for one night en route to Siem Reap from Phnom Penh. La Villa is a beautiful old building with some modern touches. It is a typical French style and the garden has been landscaped to include a beautiful pool. We stayed upstairs in an enormous room, which was again typically French. The four poster bed was... More

We spent two nights here. We had a free collection by tuk-tuk from the boat arriving from Siem Reap and enjoyed the boutique style of the hotel. Excellent pool, comfortable rooms (we were pool side) and attentive service who organised our taxi to PP for US$65. Breakfast could have been better as the small amount of fruit was chargeable at... We stayed two days in La Villa, Battambang, What a beautiful place! Very smart, clean and comfortable place in the center of the town, excelent price/quality ratio, good food at the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and competent; in particular Daly helped us to book the transfer to Phnom Penh providing for a comfortable travel. And Madame Corinne a... More

Stay at La Villa during CNY. My family and I used room N°4 on the first floor. The room is huge and nicely decorated with interesting furniture. The tiles are fantastic, it's like being back in time. The staff is (try to be) helpful but as we arrive around noon, the person in charge was only able to give us... More

Lovely villa restored with wonderful vignettes of an earlier time. Whether the rooms in the addition which are more reasonable or the superior rooms in the main house attentions to detail are in evidence everywhere. Time seems to stand still in this fabulous place, truly hard to find somewhere else. It is like staying in an old country inn in France somewhere in the 1950s or 60s. There are the fabulous floor tiles, the windows and shutters and all the other tastefully restored details of this formerly private residence. The breakfast is very nice, so... More

Love la villa. I stayed recently on the recommendation of friends who stay there once a year. It really is an amazing place. The building is rich in French colonial history. The staff are all fantastic- each and every one of them. They are so welcoming and friendly and will go the extra mile. It's like a big family. The... More
