A lovely, clean hotel, made us very welcome, adequate for a couple of night's stay. The restaurant didn't offer particularly good food but right accross the road was an amazing restaurant, cuisine to die for!

The hotel offers amazing great value accommodation that's only a short Tuk Tuk ride to the center of town. The rooms are comfortable and the beds were good, all the staff were friendly and made you feel like you were a valued guest. Overall they made our visit to Battambang very memorable, would certainly stay here again next visit. highly... More

Our stay here was excellent! After several days in backpacker hostels with cramped bathrooms, thin sheets and flat pillows, we were beyond relieved and excited to finally stay at a comfortable and beautiful room with real comforters, fluffy pillows and a spacious bathroom! The holy grail! It was centrally located and is within walking distance of everything so there will... More

Royal Hotel Battambang is definitely not the most modern hotel in the world but at that price range it is a good option to stay in the city. It is quite centrally located a few minutes walk away from the central market and the service is good. I was quite happy with the view on the sunrise while taking my... More

I arrived at night via bus from Kampot. I was surrounded by tuk-tuk drivers as soon as I stepped off but this hotel had been on my radar before. It was only a few blocks away from where I was dropped. So if you want to avoid committing to a driver, you could easily walk there (assuming you get dropped... More

Nice warm welcome from the staff at the Royal, but I did have a few issues trying to get clear information about the bus to Thailand I had booked with them. Generally friendly, good location and clean rooms. I got the cheapest rate - considerably - by turning up and seeing which rooms were available.

The Royal's strong points are its location a few steps from the Central Market; its friendly staff; and modest prices. For a budget hotel, the beds are good, rooms tidy, and our room had a balcony. The scarves given on departure, bottled water in the lobby without any ridiculous mark-up, a French-speaking staff member who seemed to always be available... More

I don't think I've stayed anywhere yet in Cambodia that has had such an attentive and enthusiastic staff! Polite, courteous and helpful - every member of staff went out of their way to greet guests and make the stay feel homely. FOr the money, this is excellent value - my room did rather remind me of my grandmother's furnishings (which... More

I stayed at the Royal Hotel with two friends after it was recommended to us by another friend. The staff were so helpful and friendly on arrival and showed us three different rooms at different prices, all with three beds. The rooms were large, clean with comfy beds. We chose a room and was given a good discount. The staff... More
