It was a really great experience staying on the lake overnight. The room was big and the service was good. The sunrise and the surrounding was spectacular. i recommend you to stay in the floating hotel if you go to Inle Lake.

We are a family traveling independently so I research and book online. We stayed in the suite ( the big house at one end of the resort) for $245 used per night. We wanted a different experience and a special myanmar experience so we wanted to stay on the lake . That's expensive for Asian standards but it's different too. I... More

It takes quite a while from the jetty at Nyaung Shwe to the Shwe Inn Tha Floating in by boat. It is one of the "floating" hotels furthest away from the little town. But the experience of staying directly on the lake should not be missed! The rooms are big huts, connected by wooden bridges. Every room has a seperate... More

This hotel was really great. We stayed there for 3 nights with two little children. We had the big house at the end of the hotel. It has a living room and two bedrooms with both a bathroom. The house was very luxury decorated in traditional Burmese style. The pool was very nice, the view spectacular. It felt like the... More

So beautiful located in the middle of Inle lake. Transfer from airport Heho to lake approx 50 minutes and then by boat another 50 minutes to Hotel. Rooms are big beautiful bungalows with panorama windows, nice balcony with chairs, seating area in the room, beds with mosquito net (beds will be made up in the evening with the net), extra... More

A tour of Burma is incomplete without a visit to the famous Inle Lake. With a restriction on new building on the actual lake now in place, then the Schwe Inn Tha is one of the places to stay if, as is usual, you are only going to stay a couple of nights. It is, of course entirely surrounded by... More

We stayed in 6 hotels and one monastery on our tour of Burma and this was by far the worst and most disappointing. The rooms are very tired and were told by our guide that it hasn't been renovated since it opened around 15 years ago - and it really does show! Apart from run down rooms, the bed linen... More

Although this resort has a unique setting, being located on the water, we were left with a slightly creepy and otherworldly feeling, mainly because this this place is a bit neglected - boardwalks are falling apart, parts of the hotel as the bar and the ballroom are unused, the swimming pool is rather symbolic and the restaurant had a slightly... First of all, if you choose a hotel on a lake you must expect some noise from passing boats! The whole area is after all dependant on boat-life. It stopped mid evening and we both slept soundly. Our room looked out over the lake and we spent a day on the veranda in absolute bliss at the tranquility and the... More

What a disappointment this was. After arriving just as the sun was going down we were initially quite pleased to arrived at what looked like a very romantic lodge with the rooms set in private bungalows. When shown our room in the dim lighting we still thought it looked great. That night we could not get hot water, warm finally... More
