Excellent hotel with wonderful, caring service. The hotel manager, Ko Zay, did everything possible to make our visit comfortable. He and the hotel owner, Ms Ann, went out of their way to be hospitable. Everyday, we were personally greeted by both. Ms Ann and Ko Zay made us feel like family. The rooms are spacious, clean and right on the... More

Very nice hotel with individual huts. We stayed at the large family suits, which only two huts available at the moment. Staff are very friendly , very accommodative and very very helpful. Hotel is situated in the middle of the lake and next to the famous Phaung Daw Oo pagoda. Saving time to travelling nearby area. At night hotel is... More

Just so you know, when I choose a rating it is relative to my expectations and whether the stay delivers what I hoped for when booking. For instance, a cheap 25 dollar backpacker's hotel can have a rating of excellent from me, if it was clean, had hot water, and wifi. Shwe Inn Tha delivered me everything we wanted in... More

We booked to stay at this hotel and after an hours taxi from the airport to the local town and another hours boat ride across the lake it looked lovely as we approached. Coming out of season we were the only guests and were soon checked into our villa on stilts. It was quickly apparent that everything was shut down... More

the staff is extremely helpful and friendly but the location of the resort is not desirable. we were there for 3 days in total and there is absolutely nothing to do in the resort except to soak in the pool. the food in the restaurant is horrible and it is the only place we could go for dinner. the 2nd... Loved our stay at this hotel. It was such a great way to see the lake. We did do one night in town before coming here for 3 nights, but I don't think we would have felt short changed had we skipped that (though it was nice to be able to buy some wine to enjoy on our balcony). We... More

The Shwe Inn Tha Floating Resort was the most expensive hotel we've had on our Myanmar trip and it was the worst stay. The airconditioning did not work and over our stay of 2 nights they were not able to fix it. Also, motorboats pass right in front of the hotel (and our room terrasse) every other minute, starting from... More

Beautiful setting- totally could not beat it. The wooden huts were sweet and well furnished inside, if a little chilly at night. Pool was immaculately clean and staff were kind and attentive. Dinner was average but breakfast was great. Wifi was good and reliable too. Pick a room that faces East so you can watch the sunrise. Breathtaking.

We really enjoyed our stay here - the hotel is comprised of quaint bungalows that are set directly above the lake. It feels a bit dated, and isn't luxurious, but it's charming. The food is uninspiring but well priced - whereas the cocktails are both excellent and cheap (especially at happy hour!) Also had a great experience at the spa.
