This hotel is the perfect hotel for people who does not want to spend too much but that want to enjoy an amazing experience. Service: The service is perfect, they literally run for you so that you are served as soon as possible (we asked for ice cubes at 11pm and they gave it directly and put our coke in... More

You are welcomed be a very efficient lady that helped us with all the useful information we needed. Breakfasts are worth and abundant and the swimming pool is big enough and clean. Just choose the good rooms! We were in the old building and it was fatiscent, no aircon and a old look of the '70

The strongest advantage of Mingalar Inn is its caring staff, they did everything so that we enjoy our stay. Breakfast was good with a few options so that you can vary from day to day. Swimming pool was clean. Wifi was unreliable, even when there was no power cut. I would definitely come back.

We stayed there four nights and it was great ! The staff is nice and helpful, the hotel is well located (the markets and many restaurants are in a reasonable walking distance). The swimming pool is maintained daily. The breakfast is huge we never could finish it !

As other reviewers have said, there are really two different hotels here depending on what type of room you get. We originally booked for the cheaper room, but decided to upgrade when we got there. The older area would be fine for backpackers looking for an inexpensive option. I backpacked in my 20s; At 39, I like a little nicer... More

The hotel is a little off the main drag, which means it's quieter (not pin-drop quiet) than many other hotels. It's close to several nice restaurants. The boat and driver the staff arranged for us was subpar. The driver was young and spoke very little English and seemed pretty disinterested in his job (he was on his phone all the... More

I arrived at 4:30am, and while no one was awake and I had no booking the staff woke up and gave me a room (without charging me for the night), and we're very accommodating. They also helped with arranging a boat tour of Inle Lake, and in general went out of their way to be helpful. Most of the staff... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Mingalar Inn earlier this month, but unfortunately I left a couple important items behind. The staff at the Inn were kind enough to set aside my package, but are unable to mail it to Canada from Nyaung Shwe. I am hoping another traveller staying at Mingalar might be able to pick up this... Booked here to have access to a pool- much needed after a day out and about. But as one of the very few places offering this, they are able and do charge a substantial premium considering the room accomodation is relatively average. Stayed in the main block overlooking the pool- rooms are very large and light, but incredibly dated. A/C,... More

We paid 50 USD and stayed in the "Junior Suite" which had a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool was the only reason we wanted to stay in this place since it was a little above our budget. In short the staff were very friendly, the pool was great but the rooms were really dated. We arrived at 5 am... More
