Arrived hot and dusty to a lovely welcome, checkin whilst sitting on a lounge chair drinking a wine! Our bags were waiting in our rooms for us. The room was so large you could get lost! Foyer, lounge room and bedroom - not to mention a balcony looking over a pond and fields. Eco friendly mini bar hidden in the... More

We got two connecting rooms(via the veranda) on the pond, it was not as noisy as was previously reported, but we did overlook a track which was busy(and excellent for people watching). Highlight was the food. Really tasty Chinese or whatever you wants and reasonably priced. Breakfast was great _ a yard of food turned up and the main wAiter... More

This was the best place we stayed in Myanmar in our 10 day trip through this beautiful country. The eco concept incorporated with the ethos of shan state and inle lake combined with modern amenities works very well. The whole team did an amazing job. Food in Myanmar is average compared to other asian countries, but this place was just... More

As many others have commented, absolutely beautiful property and great dining. The rooms/cottages have been lovingly decorated with an eye for detail and utility, and with a great sense of style – all the while staying very traditional and local. Watching the sun set over the hills and fields, from the balcony in the evening, was a definite highlight. The... More

My family and I just spent 2 nights here and just loved it. The staff was warm and welcoming the rooms are amazing with beautiful sunset views and very comfortable. The food was some of the best we have had in Myanmar. We ate dinner here both nights since we enjoyed the food so much. The kids loved feeding the... More

We didn't stay in the lodge, but ate at the restaurant twice. Such an affordable culinary experience (unless you're polishing your dollars on a tight backpackers budget), the Shan Discovery menu, and the Vegetarian menu i can definitely recommend. I guess the bill will double if you're into drinking the wine with your dinner, but the bottom line is you'll... More

Great place with extraordinary kitchen and charmy breakfast. Best place, to relax from the hundreds of buddhas and pagodas you've visited. If you got a light sleep, bring your own ear plugs, as the noisy canoe traffic starts early after 4am.

A local hotel run by a Swiss Manager who is not that friendly. Hotel is in a very noisy location from dawn to dusk, the hotel food is iffy at best, but there is not local completion. The hotel is clean but not very comfortable ...... I would look elsewhere

After a long drive to Nyaung Shwe, we were fortunate to find a cool place to relax and enjoy an "aperitif". We were warmly welcome by Jenny and Ko Myo Thu. We felt like home while being so close to the traditional Burma. The menu is rich, a combination of Shan state cuisine with a European touch. This fine food... More

Lovely large suite with balcony floating above a channel into Inle Lake. Wonderful food at every meal. Friendly, kind staff with good intentions . I loved the Viewpoint. But the location is a problem as it was very noisy. We were awakened my motorboat engines, ducks, gongs, chanting, music, all very early. This is certainly part of the experience of... More
