Recommended to us by friends and #1 on TA so unlikely to be disappointed and we were not. Great location for access to the town and boats to tour the lake. There is early morning (5a.m.onwards) canal and road traffic, but it goes with travelling in Myanmar where everything revolves around sunrise and sunset and very little night life. The... More

A stunning hotel in a beautiful town. One of the highlights of our trip to Myanmar in June this year. The restaurant is great and serves up an awesome breakfast too. Travelling in Myanmar can be very tiring, and there's nothing better than coming back to such a lovely place to recharge your batteries. The staff is very helpful and... More

What a beautiful hotel. You would not have thought much of it, when you drive up past the busy town, but behind the exterior lies a peaceful and idyllic set of stilted bungalows. Although it is not on Inle lake directly is not necessarily a bad thing though. The restaurant serves fabulous food - and lots of interesting veggie options... More

This hotel is like a bit of an oasis in the middle of this Burmese town. And it doesn't feel like a tourist trap. The rooms are built on stilts out over an inlet from a lake. Despite the frenetic activity outside the hotel, the rooms are quiet. Their dining room is open and lovely. The menu has Burmese fusion... More

Everything about this place is perfect You stay in individual chalets that are beautifully designed and lack nothing. The food is great and not overpriced. Location great. Staff really helpful. Try it and see.

Many of the new Inle Lake hotels are built on, or on the shores of the lake. Which means once you're at the hotel that's it. The Viewpoint is located on the main jetty (canal) in the town of Nyaung Shwe––the start-point town for Inle Lake. After a day of boating on the lake returning to the quaint town of... More

We recently stayed three nights here and wished we had had more time. Everything about ViewPoint Lodge was in our view superb. We had a delightful chalet that was generous in size with a comfortable sitting area, good-sized bed and lovely balcony area that looked out over the water to paddy fields and open country beyond. Other nice touches included... More

Stayed here for three night, while travelling through Myanmar. We were really in doubt whether to stay in one of the hotels on the lake, or in a hotel in the village. Eventually, we decided this hotel was the best choice: quaint houses on the water, in the center of the village. The hotel was easy to find, at the... More

We loved this hotel. Admittedly, it could be a little noisy in the mornings, but if you adopt the Myanmar life style, i.e. early to bed and early to rise, it is not much of an issue. We really liked our room on stilts, and appreciated the mosquito nets being lowered each evening. It was as pretty as the photos... More

We opted not to stay at a lakeside resort and we were delighted with this property. The street and canal sounds are a bit noisy but it comes with the territory. The adjacent town is quite vibrant and great for wandering around. Restaurants and a market were within a 5-10 minute walk. We chose a cottage and enjoyed the extra... More
