Our first impression of the hotel was ok, the woman running the place was nice, at least at first. The rooms are cold, and lack of everything, bathroom felt dirty. The only good thing was the hot shower. We asked the manager, we think she was, for help getting to the border, she totally overpriced the trip. Then when we... More

It seems that Teak Wood are doing a good business judging by the size of the hotel and the newly built addition at the back (it seems). We arrived on a cold evening and received a warm welcome with travel hints and tips as one would expect. The location is good in a small town, close to the market -... More

Best place to stay. We had a trip around the town and we thought it was a good place. After three days we were so happy we suggest everyone to book there. Ask the owner for boar trip around Inlay lake and for a marvellous trekking day.

Windows and doors at Teakwood do not provide isolation from cold and noise, and nights here can get very cold (and polluted) and the street loud. Otherwise, the room is nice and new, made out of teakwood, though no frills (no TV). Breakfast eggs had weird taste. The real problem here is the lady owner. She is the only not... More

Good hotel great location good staff nice rooms very friendly food in hotel is decent and hotel is just far enough from main street to not be bothered by traffic, as like most of Myanmar wifi a bit hit and miss.

The hotel is clean and has all the facilities you need. The restaurant is open all day and the food is decent. Rooms are clean. WiFi is free and available in all rooms. Sometimes it is slow or off but that is not controllable by the hotel. Staff are helpful.

Nice location away from the main streets (there are two construction sites nearby at the moment, but no work at night). Our room was spacious and clean and, for Myanmar standards, nicely decorated. Shaky Wifi, as usual in the country. It's nice that they give you a breakfast choice between usual toast+eggs or a Shan noodle soup. The manager runs... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was comfortable. We were able to rent bicycles from them and the breakfast was good. The rooms were spacious and clean with a fan. In the summer season you will need aircon as it gets really hot. The owners were friendly and very helpful. They let us chill in their open room... More

I booked room where is one double bed, but I got room where was two single bed. Check-out time was 12/noon but (agoda.com and booking.com) they told me that I have to check-out 10AM. Why they but wrong information website? There was many mosquitoes. I also used their massage service and it was something really awful!! The restaurant's food was... More

I stayed in a standard room which was, yes, standard but clean, comfortable, quiet, and spacious, and good value at $20 per night. No AC in the standard room but good ventilation and fan were adequate. I would describe this hotel as restful or tranquil. I've read several reviews blasting the owners of this hotel. I suppose the owners have... More
