Fantastic ! Stayed in the bungalows on stilts surrounded by Inle Lake. The view of the lake was beautiful especially in the early morning. So quite and peaceful. My bungalow needed a bit of TLC but they are building new bungalows so future visitors will have more choice. Breakfast buffet great selection. Other meals were delicious and a good selection.... This hotel was a pleasant surprise. It's right on the Inle Lake. I found the staff very helpful and went out of their way to make it an enjoyable stay. Wifi can only be reached in the reception area. It's not strong. It's worthwhile asking the staff to arrange hot water for cups of coffee in your room while you... More

We stayed here as part of a group tour for three nights. We were fortunate to be allocated an over the water bungalow which was very pleasant but the rooms are well overdue an refurbishment as everything was looking very tired. If you can try for one of the new bungalows . The hotel is an excellent base for the... More

As with so many other places in Myanmar, where prices have run amok once the industry discovered the world's interest in this beautiful country, it's far too expensive. I actually quite liked the room - we had one of the new cottages on stilts, on the water, and although the build quality wasn't 100% it was nice, big and light,... More

Hupin-Gaing Daing hotel staffs and well trained and very helpful. Hotel was formerly run by government and now on private hands. You can see the magnificent view on the up hill near hotel. Wooden bungalows are nice and clean. Quiet.

We picked this resort on a tour company's recommendation. For the price of the property, we expected a better quality of room and service. Water pressure in the room was almost non-existent and the bathtub would have taken over an hour to fill. Taps leaked. The lights were of such low wattage that we had to turn on our torch/flashlight... More

I stayed in one of the older bungalows on the lake. Traveling as part of a tour. Yes the rooms are a bit dark and the bathroom dated, but that's a bit churlish. The rooms have fantastic character and stunning views. The beds are comfortable and it's lovely sleeping under the mosquito net. The restaurant is a lovely space the... More

Saved here 3 nights as part of Peregrine tour and although the location is wonderful the cottages we stayed in could do with some refurbishment. They were clean but dusty and really needed a full refurbishment. The new lakeside cottages looked wonderful pity we weren't in one! The dining hall is like 'Hogwarts' vast and has no atmosphere. The food... More

Loved our stay in the floating cottages. The beds are arranged so you view the lake from them. Lovely cane loungers on the terrace to relax and continue to enjoy the sight. Large dining space with helpful staff. Gin sours were cheap and added cheer. Highly recommend if you're fortunate not to be joined by rats during the night.

We stayed here two nights during our travel in Myanmar. We were worried about this hotel because we've read some reviews about rooms that were old. Hupin has started a restoration and there are some new rooms that are wonderful!!! The best room we stayed in Myanmar! Wifi is free but a little slow. good breakfast and first of all... More
