Hupin-Gaing Daing hotel staffs and well trained and very helpful. Hotel was formerly run by government and now on private hands. You can see the magnificent view on the up hill near hotel. Wooden bungalows are nice and clean. Quiet.

We picked this resort on a tour company's recommendation. For the price of the property, we expected a better quality of room and service. Water pressure in the room was almost non-existent and the bathtub would have taken over an hour to fill. Taps leaked. The lights were of such low wattage that we had to turn on our torch/flashlight... More

I stayed in one of the older bungalows on the lake. Traveling as part of a tour. Yes the rooms are a bit dark and the bathroom dated, but that's a bit churlish. The rooms have fantastic character and stunning views. The beds are comfortable and it's lovely sleeping under the mosquito net. The restaurant is a lovely space the... More

Saved here 3 nights as part of Peregrine tour and although the location is wonderful the cottages we stayed in could do with some refurbishment. They were clean but dusty and really needed a full refurbishment. The new lakeside cottages looked wonderful pity we weren't in one! The dining hall is like 'Hogwarts' vast and has no atmosphere. The food... More

Loved our stay in the floating cottages. The beds are arranged so you view the lake from them. Lovely cane loungers on the terrace to relax and continue to enjoy the sight. Large dining space with helpful staff. Gin sours were cheap and added cheer. Highly recommend if you're fortunate not to be joined by rats during the night.

We stayed here two nights during our travel in Myanmar. We were worried about this hotel because we've read some reviews about rooms that were old. Hupin has started a restoration and there are some new rooms that are wonderful!!! The best room we stayed in Myanmar! Wifi is free but a little slow. good breakfast and first of all... More

The food in the hotel is good. Varied and uses a lot of local recipes. Staff are attentive and able to support with most requests. The dining area is impressive. The standard room less so. Very functional, single beds throughout, no charm and mice in the walls that are active all night. If you do stay, make sure it is... More

We arrived by boat and it all looked just beautiful. Thatched bungalows on stilts on the water, setting was very nice and peaceful. I thought the room was just great, spacious and well-appointed. Was lovely to sit on the balcony and just enjoy the beautiful view, or watch the many fish in the water below. We had dinner in the... More

when we arrived by boat we were surprised by the beauty of the hotel situated secluded at the Lake. We stayed in one of the bungalows at the water wich gave us this beautiful view at the lake. The room was spacious and had a nice bathroom. We had no hot water but that may have been because of the... More

When we arrived here I was wonder-struck... Such a beautiful spot, I had a stilt bungalow right on the water. It was sort of basic, but hey one does not come to Inle Lake to watch tv. Sitting on the private veranda at sunrise and sunset was beautiful. A nice sundowner G&T watching the fishermen going out like they did... More
