Cracking spot run by fantastic people. Some of the most beautiful coastline I've come across. Loads to explore. Pousada located directly opposite a beautiful beach, far away enough to enjoy a peaceful stay. Close enough to get into town by foot. Owners very knowledgable on the area, making day trips to incredible places possible (info that is not available in... More

I have been here now two times. The location of this pusada is the best. You are right at the most beautifull beach of Ubatuba! To town you have a short walk which makes it fine to do in the evenings. But there are also enaugh bars/restaurant in this area. The pousada is run by this nice family. All rooms... More

Room- We booked a private room with a shared bathroom, but because it was off season we got upgraded free of charge to a private ensuite which was a great welcome! Rooms were clean, comfy beds with tv and air con. Food- Breakfast is brought to you in a tray, giving you an option to eat it in your room... More

I cannot recommend Tropical Dolphin highly enough. Perfect location, incredible hosts and great atmosphere. The social area is so comfortable and relaxing, Darryl and Denise are such amazing hosts and they have done such a fantastic job with the place - beautiful mosaics, paintings and even a waterfall. They love what they do and this becomes clear on the warmth... More

Cracking hostel right in front of a quite and pretty beach with great, comfy rooms, a wonderful lay out and a most welcoming and friendly family running the show who are willing to help with trips about the place if you need. We had a really fantastic time, everything we wanted and more.

When I travelled in Europe I stayed at Youth Hostels, and enjoyed visiting each one, the experience, new people, new friends. Golfinho Tropical has that sort of feeling for me. Relaxing, extended family feeling. I've been there a few times over a 10 year period, always meeting new people, and exploring new parts of the coastline. I've been a part... More

me and my buddy went to Ubatuba in April. We found Tropical Dolphin, planed to stay 3 nights but ended up staying for 10 days. Hostel is right on the beach and has everything we needed. Our room was nice and clean, nice kitchen and common area. The owners are super friendly and nice people. They helped us with organizing... More

I went to Ubatuba with my friend, and we randomly found out we wanted to stay at Tropical Dolphin, a decision I never regretted! For a good price you get a room, free use of the kitchen, and if you're lucky, like we were, a great view to the sea. With it's 102 (?) beaches, you can pick and choose... More

We absolutely loved this place! So much, in fact, that we stayed extra nights. We were in a smaller room to start with, but upgraded to a beach view room - it's totally worth it!! The rooms were clean, we found the beds to be very comfortable and each room is uniquely decorated. The breakfast is wonderful! Fresh bread (one... More

It was a wonderful time. Very nice because of great location, very nice owners and good rooms. I felt like home and as other said already it was hard to leave. Its a great place with great people! Some of the most beautiflul beaches are very easy to reach. For example with a rented bike (bike rental just around the... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
We are a family run bed and breakfast and have been open for 8 years. The guests are made to feel at home and part of the family. The hostel is in a cheap, residential eating area so you can see the true Brazilian way of life as it is compared to the down town tourist area. Bicycles are the main form of transport and there are cycle tracks that will take you all over town and to a lot of the surfing beaches. Trails, bike hire, surf boards, short, fun, and long boards can be rented through us. Each suite is a good size with a big veranda, a hammock and table. The suite has a fridge, TV, fan and sleeps four people. We have a kitchen area to use connecting to the lounge. We have 101 beaches to choose from with most of them being in a protected rain forest reserve. We take guests out on day trails to visit the rain forest and its native people. Surf boards and bikes can also be hired. The cycle track in front of the hostel will take you downtown and to 5 other beaches in the south. ... more   less
