I had better expectations after reading several reviews. However, I was very disappointed during my stay. The main problem was the noise in the room as it has a metal ¨window¨ that allows the noise to enter. You hear all the noise of the highway all day and night long. This was terrible, could not sleep at all. I do... More

Very nice hotel, nice room and very clean. It seemed a small apartment with a small kitchen included. The room was very spacious and the hotel was very close to a nice shopping mal with good stores and restaurants. The breakfast was so so, not many options but ok, it was included in the hotel. In the overal, it was... More

This hotel is bad, as everything in Sorocaba. Must say, that the hotel is better, then Sorocaba park, for example, and one of the best in the city, but it doesn't mean, that Trans America is a good! No no no!!! It is expansive and surely without any reason, the breakfast is disgusting, almost nothing to eat, internet is so... More

Dear Mr. Alex, We are deeply grateful for your remark and it would please us so much to have better matched your expectations. We are sending the observations regarding the breakfast to the staff responsible for the restaurant and we will check along with the supplier the issue concerning the internet transmission speed and signal quality. We hope to have... More

Well situated in a safe area with a shopping mall 2 minutes walk. No real lobby and the bar in the evening had no life. Clean enough but no frills in the rooms. I would stay again but will ask for not main road side as noise from traffic is an issue for me.

Stayed here on a business trip so I did not need it to be upscale. Rooms were clean, bathroom / showers good, firm but comfortable bed, lots of desk room. You can print from your room to the front lobby if needed. The front desk has instructions. For sure ask for a room on the back side as others recommended... More

The Transamerica hotel is among the best hotels in Sorobaba, but it is dated and lacks modern amenities. The staff and customer service is first rate - and what the hotel lacks in modernness, the staff more than makes up for..... Note that the A/C is not on during the day, so when you arrive to your room, be prepared... More

Very good room and shower, food in the attached restaurant was very nice. However for a business hotel the internet really needs to be better. Some evenings I couldn't connect to download email, let alone work over a VPN. The connection from the restaurant and lobby appears to be faster so recommend going downstairs if you need a connection. It... More

We stayed 3 nights in Sorocaba. The Hotel was recommended by our local colleagues. The room rate was fair, the rooms facing the street are just too noisy. I skipped the breakfast but it seemed to have a fair quality. The reception staff was not very cooperative. The rooms have been a little bit dated in particular the bathrooms.

I stayed over a weekend while in Brazil. The front desk personnel were nice. The room was ok, it didn't have a real crisp clean feel but also didn't feel too dirty. I did spend much of the Saturday in the room and tried to get it made up while I was gone for 4 hours but it didn't get... More

For visitors from the United States (and other countries, I presume), there are no branded hotels in Sorocaba (like Holiday Inn or Marriortt), so TripAdvisor is an important tool for selecting the best hotel. In other major cities, the Transamerica "Executive the First" would rank 2-3 stars, but in Sorocaba, it may be the best option, thus my rating of... More
