This hotel sucks. It's not five stars not here and not anywhere, by any standards. The room is spacious but the furniture is veeeery dated. Small tv and even the shower does not get hot enough. Wi-if is very poor and only one device can be connected per room. So forget using a smartphone and a notebook at the same... More

Stayed here for 15 nights in June, during the World Cup. In my reservation it said "Single apartment" and that was exactly what I got. Maybe there are smaller rooms at this hotel at a cheaper price, but the one I received was huge. I actually had: *One living room with a desk, a sofa and a flatscreen TV which... More

We stayed at this hotel for one month and have great things to say about the hotel and its staff. The hotel's name is misleading. It is a 4 star hotel, not a 5 star hotel. The price (~300/night for long say) reflects this. With this expectation, you will love the place. The rooms are spacious, huge bathroom with lots... More

The only thing 5 star there is the name and it's a very bad joke. Superb location but very poor otherwise. Stayed there a few times and some rooms have such small beds a 6' tall man barely fits in. Carpets were dirty in high passage area and in one trip in particular it was bad enough that I didn't... More

PROS: - Great shower. Great pressure and easy to get temperature right. An unusual thing for a hotel. - Nice to have a separate lounge room. - Large rooms, and although they are not flash they are perfectly comfortable with a sofa, tv in the lounge and bedroom, and a big bathroom. CONS: - Front desk staff hand you key... More

This hotel is directly across from the back entrance to Shopping Center 3, one street behind Av Paulista. So, Starbucks and a large food court are right next door. As for the hotel, the staff is nice for the most part, and they greeted me each morning/evening in English as I walked through the tiny lobby, which was comforting. The... More

Arriving, rather jaded from Nairobi via South Africa we eventually arrived at this gem of a property. Although it could be described as some what faded, the rooms are spacious, staff gracious and had everything you could possibly wish for. The bath is big enough to swim in and hot water was unending - I tried to see if it... More

The location is perfect, just around the corner from Paulista in a side street with lots of bars and restaurants. I felt very safe even late at night. The rooms are very large, they are basically an apartment with a sleeping room, a living room and even a small kitchen in it. I stayed there for several nights in different... More

After a long flight from Dubai and a 2 hour taxi ride from the airport it was nice to be greeted by friendly staff who went out of their way to make you feel welcome。The rooms are a good size and set up as individual apartments with the bedroom and a small kitchen seperate。The morning buffet breakfast provides you with... My room was infested with small golden colored ants. Internet was very slow and often disconnected itself. Widows were dirty. Bathroom ceiling panes were very dirty. But generally, the hotel and rooms are very clean. The shower head was in need of repair/replacement. The worst TV channel selection ever! The bathroom lighting was very poor. Hotel has no laundry room/facilities.... More

Staying in Consolacao

Neighborhood Profile
Consolacao
Consolação lies between the old historical center of the city and busy Paulista Avenue. It’s surrounded by the fancy Higienópolis neighborhood, which makes it a very diverse place. The nightlife along Augusta Street offers visitors a variety of options to dine, dance and be entertained. Roosevelt Square, Consolação's main meeting point, is surrounded by fringe theaters and has become a popular skateboarding area. Right across the street from the square is the elevated highway known as “Minhocão.” Though it is busy with car traffic all week, it shuts down every weekend and becomes a leisure spot right in the middle of the city.
