I am sure there are better hotels in this fun loving town. Advertised as a business hotel, this place had nothing to offer. The internet was extremely slow and most of the time did not work. The rooms were cramp, the bathrooms had basic facilities. The lobby area could hold only few people and extremely small. Besides a great location,... More

This is a B&B hotel. It delivers what it promises: bed, breakfast, and no frills, whatsoever. The linens and towels are cheap, the mattress is horrible, and the pillow is like a rock. Besides, there is no central air conditioning, meaning the temperature depends on local air conditioning in selected places, leaving aside corridors, lobby, and other common areas. Translating,... This place was adequate at best. The hotel is clean and has shampoo, but no iron. Like other reviews, the internet is SLOOOOWWWW. I mean, don't even plan on checking anything but your emails. Even then, I had to reboot gmail every 5 minutes. The free internet is only 128KBPS which is basically dial up and you have to log... More

Just looking for a place to sleep than it is fine. Room / bathroom clean All equipment available Every one very helpful. Breakfast is OK but the place has no charm at all. The terrass on the top of the building! could be something nice. This is a no man land. Nothing seems to work Wifi (free option) is slow.

The location of the hotel is reasonably good (it is close to Eldorado Shopping center, where one can e.g. have dinner). However, the rooms are small and there is no free internet (which was, let's say, unexpected, since the price was not at all small). Also, to have breakfast one must be lucky, since there is not enough place so... More

There is no heat in the hotel rooms ANY OF THEM. Sao Paulo gets cold. I asked the manager for a heater to be sent up. NO NO NO I will send you a blanket. SERIOUSLY. Never stay here if its cold. Have to have 00 characters but not much more to say. If you are cold and you want... More

Overall, this hotel was clean and close to the major Faria Lima street. It depends how important an Internet connection is to you, but if I had known the Internet connection was going to be both spotty and super slow I never would have stayed here. The rest of review is pretty detailed with minor notes that might not be... More

Agreeing with previous reviews that found the Howard Johnson at Faria Lima a decent enough hotel for business travellers, but nothing fancy. Small but functional room, kept tidy. Sufficient choice at the breakfast buffet, but rather similar from day to day (in the three days that I visited, anyway). Reception desk staff were friendly and helpful. Major drawback was slow... This Howard Johnson is no frills. On the ground floor there is a tiny lobby and mid size breakfast/dining room and that's pretty much it. While it's very clean and well run, bedrooms are about as small as you can get. The location is in the suburbs and is close to some OK bars, restaurants and shopping facilities. It's also... More

This hotel is a typical Howard Johnson, no thrills but 100% functional. Located very well and clean but the rooms are a bit small , so avoid them if you are claustrophobic. the breakfast is very nice and the lunch food is also very good for a small hotel!
