Helpful staff at front desk. Standard room with queen bed is very nice. Room clean. Very good and plentiful breakfast. Sooo close to metro that you can go everywhere. This part of town is a little shabby but we never felt uneasy. Just came back from the Paulonista blvd area...much more upper urban and more expensive. This was a great... More

...in full 1980s-style Beirut derelict chic. As with all things Brazil, it's almost good. The hotel is one amazing-looking property: vast valet reception in neo-colonial guise, with very modern and attractive reception next to a gorgeously-upmarket internal restaurant. It's clean, very well-located, and gives you the perception it's a high-end place at a value price. To a certain extent, that's... More

This is a good above average hotel and this was my second stay. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and reasonably sound-proof. The free wifi works well. I thought that the lobby could do with attention. It has become a little shabby since my last visit. The buffet service in the restaurant is pretty reasonable although the brownie I... More

This is a good, clean, modern, well appointed hotel. It is well located near shops, restaurants, etc. Also, it is only a few blocks from the airport express bus (which I recommend). Only in S.P. one night, for a business appt, but this would also be good for a longer stay.

Had an overnight in Sao Paolo and this place worked out great. Had a good meal and slept in a nice room. Not the best breakfast and the neighborhood is not very good but was perfect for what I was looking for. A very good value.

The hotel is very nice and very clean ! Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Very well located in downtown area, near the Republica Square and metro. The complimentary breakfast is amasing and the staff very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel, also os managed by Atlantica Hotels.

What's to like: 1. Close to Metro Station - Republica Station - that takes you straight to Arena Corinthians if you're planning to watch football while in SP 2. Close to Airport Shuttle Bus Station - Take the shuttle bus instead of taxi to GRU. It will save you a bundle 3. Free Wi-Fi in hotel room 4. Clean, comfortable... More

this is my first stay in Brazil, I thought it was comfortable and OK at first, until I have been traveling in the rest of Brazil, especially at the north, I then realised how great this hotel is, that comfy bed, that speedy wifi (most hotels have slow wifi or no wifi at room eventhough they claim to have). Staying in Republica

Neighborhood Profile
Republica
Part of the historical center of São Paulo, República was once a fancy residential area. República Square holds a craft and food fair every weekend, right by the subway entrance. Nearby, one of the neighborhood’s main attractions is the Italian Building, where you can see the city from the 42nd floor. The Copan Building also deserves a close look, with 1,160 apartments and a huge floor area that inspired filmmakers and other artists. To get the feeling of São Paulo in the beginning of the 1900s, visit the Municipal Theatre – you will be amazed by its architecture. The area also features several galleries. República is a great area to explore during daytime, but use caution if visiting alone at night.
