Stayed in the hotel during the World Cup semi final period. The hotel is conveniently located near a metro station( 3 minutes walk) Sao Jaoquim, although smallish the hotel has all the requirements that a traveller would need. I love the breakfast especially which I though was one of the best in a Four Star setting anywhere. For VFM stay... More

The Good: Nice, clean room with modern furnishings and comfortable bed. Very nice bathroom with an excellent shower and soft towels. Helpful staff. One block from Sao Jaoquim metro. The Bad: Looks cheap from the outside and the lobby is very dated. Located in the seediest Chinatown I've ever seen. Two or three blocks in any direction are quite unsafe.... More

After reading a few other reviews it's very obvious that some things are more important to some people, and other things to others. For me, the hotel was distinctly average. The staff were friendly! Other than that though, I would have rather stayed somewhere else. In my lifetime I have stayed at way better quality hotels that cost much less.... More

Stayed here during the world cup for 5 nights, great first impressions. Friendly staff who spoke great English. The wifi on the top floor at times was poor, but that is a very picky point. Had a nice swimming pool and lovely rooms, in a great location near the metro.

I like this hotel because it is easy to reach by public transportation, sits right on the edge of "China Town" and gives you easy access to all the shopping, sightseeing, etc. From the airport you can take the bus to the metro station Tatuape, take the metro (Linha 3 - Vermehlha), change at Se to Linha 1 - Azul... During my vacation in Brasil a few weeks back this was the first hotel we stayed at. I very much enjoyed our brief but pleasant stay here. For a learning hotel, you couldn't tell because everyone seemed to be pretty confident about what they were doing. I think what my wife and I enjoyed most was the bed. In the... More

Stayed 5 nights, it's a 3-star hotel, no less! PLUSES: Helpful staff, clean hotel room MINUSES: Dont feel safe in the neighbourhood coz a travelling friend got mugged at gun-point, right outside the hotel on the first night's stay. ADVISE: STAY in group and KEEP your passports locked in the hotel's safe at ALL TIMES, bring only your passport copies... More

Very nice hotel with a friendly staff. One small problem with the wi-fi due to outside works. Very close to the Japanese neighborhood. Metro station at two steps away. Some restaurants nearby with traditional Brazilian food.

I stayed at this hotel with my brother and parents for three nights in the end of June/beginning of July 2013. Our opinion was that it was a fine hotel for the price with a good location. it was very practical with the subway close by, but Paulista and Sao Bento (for example) is within walking range. The rooms were... More
