This time my husband and I spent 9 nights at the Hotel L'Opera. We have stayed there since its opening and it has never disappointed us. The location could not be better in a very nice neighbourhood in the City of São Paulo, near Shopping Eldorado, Shopping Iguatemi, Rua dos Pinheiros with loads of bars and restaurants, and there is... We were a party of three en-route to Buenos Aires and needed to transit through Sao Paulo (SP). We stayed at this hotel in early October. Given a long flight from Australia we decided to stay in SP for two nights. The hotel is a 3 star and is what it represents itself to be on its website so no... More

I went to a seminar two blocks away from the hotel, and honestly this was the best option around. Great price, and excellent service. From beginning to end they were very helpful, even though I only spoke Spanish, they made their best to help me in everything I asked for. The hotel has free Wi-Fi, which worked very good most... I came to visit the University of São Paulo, and my host recommended the Howard Johnson a few blocks away. Noting that the Howard Johnson was overpriced, I ended up choosing L'Opera instead, for R$250 a night (about 50% less). Indeed, L'Opera is a great deal for the Faria Lima area. The room was well appointed with nice furniture, and... More

I spent a week at the hotel while at a conference at the University of Sao Paolo. The hotel staff was quite helpful. The breakfast included in the rate was excellent. I am still raving about the fresh tropical fruit prepared every morning. My only problem was rather spotty wifi service. There are many nice restaurants nearby.

At times the only working internet was in the lobby. - Occasionally rude service. Varies from person-to-person - We had... More

PROS: The Hotel has a good location, at two blocks from the Av. Faria Lima and the new metro line that can get you to the downtown or the Av. Paulista. It has also easy access to some main Avenues of São Paulo, as Marginal Pinheiro, Marginal Tiete and Av. Rebouças. The Hotel is relatively new, altough the room decoration... More

Staying in Pinheiros

Neighborhood Profile
Pinheiros
Exploring Pinheiros, a neighborhood known for cozy restaurants and cafes, you will notice a youthful energy. Several cultural centers and institutes surround the area and even its main church, Calvário, hosts a traditional Brazilian “Festa Junina” - a celebration with traditional music, dance, and food during the months of June and July. On the weekends, residents gather at Benedito Calixto Square, a loud and crowded area where people enjoy live music drinks alongside the antiquities fair.
