Average hostel. Sparse but functional, has a common room to hang out in. Nice neighborhood. Close to batman alley and the necropolis...a very cool cemetery. Not ideally accessible to public transportation. I had to walk pretty far to get to the subway. The staff are young people in their 20's and we're not as knowledgeable about certain things as I... After travelling for a few weeks with my parents, we were happy to be back in a hostel to meet other travellers and enjoy the "backpacker atmosphere" again, but in this hostel there was nothing! No other travellers, no nice common area, no breakfast, no nice and helpful staff (the staff was nice, dont get me wrong, but from a... More

This hostel has a great atmosphere and it is easy to meet other travellers. The location is superb with loads of bars and restaurants close. Staff is nice and the rooms big enough and clean. A good base to explore Sao Paulo.

The hostel is really nice and has a great atmosphere. The beds are quite comfortable and the lockers are spacious and work well. The "lounge" area outside is great and includes chairs, hammocks and a pool table. The only downside is the condition of the bathrooms, which need some remodeling (don't forget to bring your flip flops)! Still, I recommend... More

This hostel has a great atmosphere if you're looking to meet other travellers. Has a very unique, cool style, similar to somewhere in Berlin. Interesting graffiti art work around the hostel walls. We stayed in an 8 bed dorm room which was fine. The lockers were good, and the beds comfy. However for me at 6 foot 1 I was... More

I flew in Sao Paulo and got a taxi to this hostel. It is located in a residential area, so by no means a party hostel. It is safe and secure. The walls are covered in beautiful artwork and there is a signing board filled with messages from past travellers. I stayed in a 8 bed-dorm, it is large, has... More

This hostel has its own style. You can tag the wall when you leave which is cool! Staff is very friendly. It's close to many bars in the neighbourhood, so if the hostel is quiet after 10pm just walk around the block or down the street and you find lots of places to drink and eat! Breakfast included is very... More

Very good hostel, all the staff were very friendly and went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our every need was satisfied. The bar was nice and had an excellent ambience. Food was decent a tad on the small side. My only complaint would be that the bathrooms could have been cleaner. The quality of clientele attracted... More

This hostel made my time in Sáo Paulo great! Manuel, the receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful, even had breakfast with us! The rooms were modern with power points at every bed and the lockers were huge! The bathrooms were fine, and there was even a hair dryer for the guests! Great wi-fi connectivity. Overall, I had no complaints!!

Staying in Pinheiros

Neighborhood Profile
Pinheiros
Exploring Pinheiros, a neighborhood known for cozy restaurants and cafes, you will notice a youthful energy. Several cultural centers and institutes surround the area and even its main church, Calvário, hosts a traditional Brazilian “Festa Junina” - a celebration with traditional music, dance, and food during the months of June and July. On the weekends, residents gather at Benedito Calixto Square, a loud and crowded area where people enjoy live music drinks alongside the antiquities fair.
