Hotel is dirty and it smells really awful. I doubt that they washed the sheets! bedroom is big but it doens't compensate that is not clean and the carpet is full of fungus... the area is dangerous. A lot of bars of women and drugs... you wouldn't like to be out after 20:00. For the price you can get something... More

The hotel itself is in serious need of renovation and upgrading of all its facilities. The beds were a bit old and the bathroom rundown. The staff were always helpful and cautious - at certain points I brought friends over and they questions me if they would spend the night and told us not to make too much noise. Nevertheless... Arrived for one night stay 28 February late at night. Room very basic, few facilities and bed cover on one of the beds torn in several places. Fixtures and fittings outdated. Staying in Consolacao

Neighborhood Profile
Consolacao
Consolação lies between the old historical center of the city and busy Paulista Avenue. It’s surrounded by the fancy Higienópolis neighborhood, which makes it a very diverse place. The nightlife along Augusta Street offers visitors a variety of options to dine, dance and be entertained. Roosevelt Square, Consolação's main meeting point, is surrounded by fringe theaters and has become a popular skateboarding area. Right across the street from the square is the elevated highway known as “Minhocão.” Though it is busy with car traffic all week, it shuts down every weekend and becomes a leisure spot right in the middle of the city.
