we got a really good price here for the Carnival, under half price,178 Rais. The hotel is centrally located, easy to find by foot (not by car). Rooms ok for Brazilian standard, elevator takes along time and breakfast area too small, difficult to find seating and food, welll, not the best. But the service was excellent.

The hotel is under renovation. 70% of the lobby is presenting very badly, with cables hanging from the ceiling, rubble, no pavement. The elevator and the fitted carpets are stinky and they really need to be replaced. The room is very spacius but the double bed is more of a 1,5 bed. The bed and the furniture is basic. There... The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the bus station and good for walking and exploring the city, the decor and rooms are from a bygone day but were adequate, clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a problem with the TV so I had to be moved to another room for the second night, which did... More

The toillet smells urine, the mobilia are like 50 years ago, the room's door simply won't open, the restaurant doesn't open for lunch or dinner, the entire hotel smells fungus and the gran finalle, the service is made by 18 year-old amateurs. Unfortunally Brazil doesn't have any rank standard for hotels. This Florianopolis Palace Hotel gives itself 5 stars, but... More

Got this place for just under R$202 per night which is a bit of a bargain for this part of Brazil. We stayed in town thinking there were more options for nightlife but that proved incorrect. Luke a previous reviewer said, I can be tricky to find somewhere to eat on town, but places do exist in the Baira Mar... More

Really nice place, good price/service relation and some of the staff speaks english, but Florianopolis itself can be a bit boring. Especially finding a place for dinner can be quite a challange in Florianopolis. If you wanna stay in twon, stay there, if you wanna see the island rent a car and stay in more remote places, e.g. the lagoon... More
